We understand lights are an integral part of your daily commute. Using a light can mean the difference between being seen or not by automobile drivers. Many of the “entry level” commuter lights are nothing more than “be seen” lights. Your overall safety and visibility should not be limited by your budget, that’s why we created the Mako Series. The Mako line now offers five models and up to 200 lumens, not only allowing the cyclist to be seen, but allowing the cyclist to see as well. Our favorite feature is the side “gills” emit a red light, which not only looks cool, but makes the Makos more visible. The Mako line is easy on the wallet and operates on 2 AA batteries (included).

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bazil Decent light for the price
I have had the pre-runner to this (Mako 2watt), which is essentially the same light, for around 3 years. Its been through a lot of rain as a commuter. The beam is a good size on the road and the colour of the light is good for vision.
Although it looks as though the back section doesn't connect too well to the front section, it has never come apart when riding and the water has never got in.
Being a single LED with a lens focusing the light forward it is a seeing light and despite the flashing red light behind the grilles I've always had a second front light with it to give a spread of light for being seen.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous not a good product
got one of these - had a bit of rain one night - the light would then stay on permanently - you had to dissassemble to turn it off - lasted a couple of weeks - poor quality - go for something else
