Nite Rider Minewt 200

The third generation MiNewt receives a new name and power boost of 30% in 2010, increasing light output to 200 measured lumens! The best part of the power increase is that it comes without sacrificing run time. Due to the increased efficiency of the new LED, run times stay consistent with last year. How about that? More power with the same run time almost seems like magic.

Nite Rider Minewt 200 Features:

  • Increased Output to 200 Lumens!
  • Li-ion Battery
  • 3 Light Settings: High/Low/Flash
  • Borofloat Lens
  • Low Battery Indicator
  • Lightweight - 232g

Nite Rider Minewt 200 - System Includes:

  • LED Headlamp
  • Handlebar Mount - Fits up to 31.8mm
  • Li-Ion Battery
  • 4.5 HR Smart Charger
  • Custom Reflector

Rated 2.5 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Ok but weakness with connecting cable Had the light for 1 season of twice a week x 2.5hr long evening rides. I do charge it up after every ride and use it on ‘low’ setting for most the ride which generally provides sufficient light with occasional short term blast on ‘high’ beam for dark sections. The ‘low’ setting interferes with (ie: turns off) my CatEye wireless computer. I now have a new bike with higher frequency wireless computer and no problem of interference. Main weakness with the N/R Minewt is the battery to light cable: the internal wires break inside the cable where it connects to the moulded end plug on the cable (even though I have always been gentle & careful when connecting it to the battery pack). Same thing has happened to two other folks with the same light at my work. Summary - Its an OK to Good light but wouldn't buy another Niterider light with cable connection because of this cable failure problem. 12 June 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointed, battery life short The battery only lasts for two short rides. 01 February 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by short lived enjoyment I bought the light last year for on road night rides, it is bright and small enough on a road bike. Failed once in the rain - connectors are not very waterproof! Haven't used it for a few months this winter and taken out of the box + recharged, only the sporadic flicker to be seen. Needless to say that the warranty had just ended - a very expensive experience not to buy from niterider again. 27 January 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Minute in size but not in power Upon opening the box that houses the Nite Rider Minewt 200 front light set, you immediately see how it got its name (minute) It took literally seconds to fit the lamp unit & battery pack to my bike, and I then waited for it to go dark to see if something this small could deliver in terms of lighting & performance, and deliver it did to a very high standard. Coupled to this you have a product that is a top quality build item, with concise user information and a 'back up' website if needed. Also because it is not a one piece unit the paltry weight can be centrally located on the bike to aid handling and keep the bar area (when fitted there) uncluttered. 16 October 2009
