The Capital is a high end street hardtail. Probably one of the most radical products in the niche, and certainly one of the most popular among diehard street riders. It features radical geometry and ultra short chain stays. For 2014 the geometry has been adjusted with a 15mm longer top tube and 10mm lower BB. The slightly longer seat tube gives the pivotal saddle full adjustability and moves the back of the saddle out of the rear tyre reach. It uses multi butted tubes that are super strong in critical stress areas but also not so thin in the central parts, therefore making the frame more resistant to dents resulting from crashing and throwing the bike as is inevitable in street riding. Don’t worry too much about the weight …you will see abused bikes built on Capital frames hitting the 910kg weight mark. They've made the frame strong enough even for the most hardcore riders.
The Capital comes with a narrow seat stay shape for the perfect look. At the same time NS decided that U-brakes are a better solution for street, giving great power, modulation and a clean look with nothing to catch on your trousers. It still features 100% removable brake hardware so it will look pure for those who prefer to go brakeless. Another cool feature is the use of an integrated pivotal mount with the NS slimmer custom shape. They've put the integrated seatpost as low as possible!
Remember that the Capital is not a big street BMX cruiser. The geometry is radical but still connected with MTB world, you can use rigid forks or short travel suspension. But the parts that you should spec come straight from 20” world a bmx hub (110x14), Spanish BB, integrated headset, integrated pivotal post, removable U-brakes bosses in case you need them… simply a pure street frame.
