NS Bikes Soda FR1 Suspension Bike

The Soda FR is a truly adjustable, do-it-all bike for new-school riders. Perfect for slopestyle, jumps and tricks in the short chainstay and short travel setting. Switch to long travel, place the wheel in the long chainstay position and the bike transforms into a plush and stable mini-dh machine. And what's important, you can get the seat up and ride the bike to your favorite location without breaking a sweat. The heart of the bike is the super sturdy and reliable frame. Big bearings, rigid, burly and overbuilt. It will take anything you can throw at it. Just ask Jaws.

The Soda FR1 is our flagship model, with adjustable travel, a 1x10 drivetrain and a full set of aftermarket NS Bikes components

Rated 5 out of 5 by This bike rules!! I've had this bike since August last year and thought I would leave a quick review of it as there are not many reviews for this bike. I mainly ride DH & Freeride with the occasional distance ride with the missus. The bike has 3 different setups, short wheelbase short travel, long wheelbase short travel and long wheelbase long travel. It doesn't take much to change between these setups. This was one of the main reasons I bought this bike as I can't afford to have multiple bikes for different types of riding. I have spent all winter in short wheelbase short travel mode and it has been spot on. Nice and comfortable on longer rides and can climb with relative ease. For climbing you have to remember this is not an all out XC bike unless you go for the Air model. I've put the setup to long wheelbase and long travel and to me this is where this bike excels. DHing and jumping are a complete joy. I am now hitting sections I previously only wished I could and keeping up with guys on full DH rigs. I love this bike and the build is excellent, welds looks bomb proof. I highly recommend this bike. 31 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing Ive been riding Dh for some years now and enjoy doing some distance riding but i was getting annoyed of having two different bikes. i wanted something that could do both and this is the bike. Its great when it comes to the climbs it really just goes for it and then along the flats its amazing but then when you come to the descents just drop that seat post and you have miles of fun while every one else is trying to keep their balance you can throw this bike off of any jump or lip and have some fun. only thing i wish it had is the rear mech shifter to have marks on it so i can tell what gear im in if i forgot (which happens often). But other than that its a great bike to ride. 10 August 2013
