Nukeproof Mega AM 275 - RockShox Monarch

Mega AM 275 - all-mountain, all the time

The 2013 Nukeproof Mega AM was an evolution of our Megavalanche inspired Enduro race machine.

For 2014 we’ve tweaked the geometry and optimised it for the new 27.5” wheel size, offering a more stable platform and improved rolling over rough and technical terrain.

Now designed to take forks with up to 180mm travel, the Mega AM 275 combines downhill prowess with pedalling efficiency - perfect for the unique challenges thrown up by competitive Enduro events, Alpine trips, All-Mountain adventures or tough, technical riding where uplifts aren’t an option.

Progressive suspension

Suspension-wise, the Mega uses our 'Erosion' linkage giving a smooth progressive action with a well controlled mid-stroke to avoid wallowing under pedal loads.

Oversize main pivot bearings are contained in a bespoke CNC-machined Bottom Bracket assembly to ensure alignment, durability and precision, while an asymmetric chainstay design gives clearance for a front derailleur and compatibility with all leading models of ISCG 05 - mounted chain retention systems.

Geometry is based around a slack 66deg head angle and 73.5deg seat angle, with a long wheelbase keeping the centre of gravity low for optimum stability at speed.

A 44mm headset standard keeps the front of the bike light, with Nukeproof headset options allowing flush internal, flush top/external bottom, tapered or 1.5in headset compatibility, while at the rear, a 142mm x 12mm thru-axle keeps things planted.

The Mega AM also features removable cable guides for a ‘gravity dropper’ adjustable seat post, as well as internal cable routing for a RockShox Reverb Stealth post.

It’s ready to take on the mountain. Are you?

Rated 5 out of 5 by final weapon? I bought the frame in december, already rather satisfied with a ghost cagua 650b. I was aware of the potential of the enduro 650b bike, and looked for something slightly more gravity oriented than my cagua. I live in the Alps and ride steep climbs with rocky and technical trails, and love livigno or other bike parks, and every year go to finale ligure or sanremo (enduro and downhill). I fitted the frame with double chainset and chain guide, tubeless wheels, 2 position pike fork, oval brakes, rs reverb and my bike wheighs 14 kgs. It climbs very well, but the business comes when the trail goes down. I can float over rocky trails and ride my park with unusual speed, till my friends are astonished. I thought that the headangle was a little to slack and the suspension scheme too coarse, but after two rides on my usual trails i've changed my mind. There is a perfect geometry-mix for me, so i can run faster than ever, and the suspension manages every situation, after the initial setting i completely forgot it. The frame is well built and every cable finds its place. The only problem i can found is the paint, easy to chip. I found my Satori. What else? 24 September 2014

Answer:
It depends on the brake mount type on your brakes. If your brakes are is they will fit but may need an is to is adapter depending on disc diameter. If your brakes are post mount you will need an is to post mount adapter configured to your disc diameter

Answer:
I'm currently running the 380mm with 125mm drop. Found it to be perfect as it is not to short when fully compressed and still allows you to get over the back of the bike with ease. The 150mm drop reverb would have been to low to peddle well when compressed. Also running the mega 275 am 18.5
