Nukeproof Mega TR 275 - RockShox Monarch

Mega TR 275 - Ride what you want

New for 2014, the Mega TR 275, the newest addition to the “Mega” family takes our highly acclaimed Mega AM and trims back the travel and weight to provide a more athletic trail friendly chassis. Rear wheel travel is set at 130mm making it the perfect option for ‘one-bike’ singletrack riders who like to tackle the gnarl but want a rig they can pedal all day.

Don’t want the full 160mm of a dedicated Enduro rig,, but still want the option of a versatile frame that can be built burly if needs must?

Check out the TR 275.

Featuring a lighter custom-hydroformed tubeset than the AM to shave off some weight; the Mega TR 275 is designed to take forks with travel between 140mm and 160mm, making it just as capable of tackling a marathon event or full day of trail centre runs as it is an Alpine Enduro.

Just like the original Mega the TR 275 also uses our 'Erosion' linkage giving a smooth, progressive suspension action with a well controlled mid-stroke to avoid wallowing under pedal loads - the perfect platform for a true trail bike that needs to climb as well as descend.

Oversize main bearing pivots are contained in a bespoke CNC-machined Bottom Bracket assembly to ensure alignment, durability and precision, while the chainstay design gives clearance for a direct-mount front derailleur.

Our aggressive trail/enduro geometry is based around a 67deg head angle and 73.5deg seat angle, while a 44mm headset standard keeps the front of the bike light. Nukeproof headset options allow flush internal, flush top/external bottom, tapered or 1.5in headset compatibility, while a 135mm/142mm x 12mm thru-axle keeps things planted at the rear.

The Mega TR 275 also features removable cable guides for a ‘gravity dropper’ adjustable seat post, as well as internal cable routing for a RockShox Reverb Stealth post.
We have also added bottle cage mounts to meet the requests of enduro riders.

A true do-it-all platform for riders who refuse to be categorised, we reckon the TR 275 has Your Next Bike written all over it.

Answer:
130mm travel is the recommended max travel for the rear wheel on this bike.

For making this frame more 'burly' as mentioned it is best to upgrade the forks or wheels 'if needs be' as this bike is already spec'd as a well rounded trail bike.
