Race-day, attack mode

A slimmed-down version of our popular Trail perch, the Nukeproof Race saddle sheds essential grams for a high-performance focus.

Weighing in at just 239g, the Race features a slimmer profile in comparison to its trail-orientated cousin, but shares the same 275mm x 132mm dimensions making it suitable for a wide range of riders.

Reduced padding saves weight and delivers a stiffer pedalling platform, appealing to competitive riders for whom optimum power transfer takes priority over long-ride comfort.

The Race saddle base is shaped towards the rear to support sit bones and promote soft tissue circulation, and features an elongated nose to allow easy movement and positional changes, such as when climbing in the seat.

Built using our exclusive CrN Ti alloy rail compound for improved strength-to-weight ratio, the Nukeproof Race saddle also features a tear-resistant two-piece Lorica cover with embossed graphics for added grip in wet and muddy conditions with Kevlar scuff guards on the outer corners to improve abrasion resistance.

Featuring fresh new graphics for 2013, the Nukeproof Race saddle is available in three colour choices: black, white or Nukeproof yellow.

Nukeproof Race CrN Ti Rails Features:

  • Performance-orientated MTB race saddle
  • Super-slim profile
  • Shaped to improve circulation
  • Lightweight CrN Ti Alloy Rail
  • Tough two-piece Lorica cover
  • Kevlar scuff guards

Rated 4 out of 5 by Saddle is very comfortable and light, but rails... Comfortable seat position able to seat very long time. Not scratched during 16 month. But i broke a left rail on a simple ride, it was very surprising for me. На данном седле удобно преодолевать длинные расстояния не смотря на жесткость. Очень стойкое к износу. Очень легкое. Но у меня сломался левый рейл при обычном катании по городу, не в экстремальных условиях, это было очень удивительно. 06 September 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Focussed MTB saddle Wasn't quite sure what to expect after reading some of the reviews and ordering one of these saddles but I needn't have been concerned. The Plasma is a very firm saddle and the manufacturer's description is completely accurate especially the bits about reduced padding and stiffer platform. It isn't a big sofa like an SDG Bel Air it's hard like a wooden barstool but it's also supportive like a wooden barstool. The profile is fairly flat with just a slight flick at the rear and the nose is comfortably (but not obtrusively) wide with a decent flat top. In use there's quite a bit of room to move around - the Plasma is light and firm but it's not a padded razor blade or a cut-away DJ saddle it's a proper MTB saddle. Having said that it's not a saddle for easy rides you have to keep moving. In terms of looks for me it's absolutely bang on. I don't like saddles with tall rails and the Plasma is sleek and low. The finish is also spectacular and cleans up well. If your rides involve a lot of sit-down winching or freewheeling along doubletrack you probably won't like it but otherwise it's a fine saddle. 02 September 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nothing special. Warped my seat after 2nd time riding. My other seats held up much better. 29 May 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gorgeous Pretty saddle. Really nice quality too. I rekon on longer rides this may hurt a bit. But thats what padded shorts like Endura Humvees are for :D 13 May 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Value Overall I bought this saddle to replace the stock one on my 2012 Trek EX7 (Bontragger). This seat's good points are great, but its one bad point is horrible. On a scale of One to Ten on its looks: 11 On a scale of One to Ten on its weight: 10 On a scale of One to Ten on its Comfort: 4-5 The saddle looks INCREDIBLE... very contemporary, well built, and weighs virtually nothing. But if you spend more than 2 hours at a time on your bike or dont have padded shorts, this saddle tends to feel as comfortable as a bag of rocks on a concrete park bench. Being that it looks so sharp and is a featherweight I tend to look past the comfort issue- until two hours and one minute later. 25 December 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by 23 October 2013
