The Nukeproof Proton series of pedals have been extensively engineered to offer the optimum balance of strength and fatigue resistance with minimum weight penalty.
The low-profile design offers maximum ground clearance and features a deep concave which allows the foot to “sit in” the pedal which improves grip and comfort. There are a total of 10 replaceable and adjustable pins per side to allow you to customize the level of grip to meet your own requirements.
Each pedal body spins on high quality DU bushings with two sealed cartridge bearings per pedal to help spread the stress loads from heavy impacts. Meanwhile a lip seal between the axle end and pedal body helps to reduce ingress of water and dirt prolonging pedal life between services.
Nukeproof Proton Alloy-Ti Flat Pedals Features:
Low-profile parallelogram design
10 replaceable and adjustable pins per side
CNC machined for improved strength-to-weight ratio

Straight from the box these pedals felt a bit lumpy on the spindles, 100 miles in and the left spindle is now stiff and crunchy, local bike shop say they are toast, Chain Reaction say that they will service them and return them, but not replace, they are not interested in the warranty they only operate under there own terms. When I'm paying this price I expect reasonable quality goods with a reasonable customer service and full warranty. Chain Reaction said they are not interested in the legalities of warranty just there terms. I now shop elsewhere.

Right before i start ill say the obvious- yes they are expensive. If your looking for perfomance that basically doesnt impact on bike weight at all then you'll overlook the price for these! Ive been running them for a month on Trek session 88 and i have to say they're flawless. I use 5/10 freeriders while im on flat pedals and if I wanna move my feet i have to lift em there is no slip even on the roughest ground (that's possibly a tribute to the DHX on my session) but my confidence is such that i just bought a set for my 4X rig. Major selling point for these really has to be the weight so if you have the cash just buy em and forget adding weight to your bike. I should also point out that they look the dogs danglies in silver!
