We built the Nukeproof Snap 4X frame with one purpose and one purpose only – carving the quickest line from start gate to podium. Period.
Made to the exacting standards of 2010 Euro 4X champ and 2012 World Championship Silver medalist Michael Mechura; the Snap 4X is designed to be race-ready out of the box and has earned its competitive stripes over two seasons of World Cup riding under the Mechura brothers, and countless gruelling races under talented riders too numerous to name here.
Constructed from 7005 grade aluminium using a tube selection that combines light weight with front-end/drivetrain stiffness, it’s a frame designed for fast gate-exits and precision cornering under load without the harsh ride feel.
The Snap’s geometry reflects its competitive intent, with a 67 degree head angle and BB height of 25mm helping to maintain high-speed stability and hold the racing line, while super-short 420mm chainstays make the bike a breeze to pump and manual.
Running a 1 1/8” fork? No problem. Switched to tapered? No problem either - a 44mm headtube keeps things light at the front end while Nukeproof headset options enable compatibility with all fork steerer standards right up to 1.5”.
Suspension setup is also down to you – the Snap will also cater for a range of fork lengths according to rider preference and headset choice – 80 - 100mm travel with external bottom headset cup and 100 - 120mm travel with internal bottom cup.
Meanwhile to the rear, adjustable dropouts cater for standard 10mm QR rear axles or Maxle 135 thru-axle options with ISCG 05 mounts as standard taking the hassle out of fitting a chain guide.
