Rated 4 out of 5 by Good work bag The thing that impressed me about this bag is its rugged looks and If your looking for a work bag with lots of pockets the Oakley Mechanism Backpack is a good choice. Metal clips means you don't have to struggle with troublesome zippers. And unlike those narrow fabric styled handles (the sole purpose, hanging the bag on a hook) the perfectly sized metal handle actually gives you a comfortable option of carrying it. There are two water bottle compartments however I am not sure why they opted for 600ml sized pockets instead of 700ml pockets even though the larger bottle fits the velcro straps will not make contact. I would have preferred the inside of the bag to bit a little wider. Overall a good everyday bag. 25 August 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Great design but poor qualities materials used. Got it for work use (I'm in Enforcement Unit) but was really surprised to see and feel the quality of this Oakley Bag. The materials used were so thin that I don't think it will survived a field trip. This bag is not water-proof at all, water will just flow through it without any resistance at all. My other BlackHawk bag is so much better in all ways than this Oakley Mechanism bag. With the price tag, I think you can get other a better and more durable bag. As mentioned in the heading, the only plus point about this bag is the design of it. Don't get me wrong, I do own other Oakley products too but I was rather disappointed at their quality of this bag. 20 August 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not worth the money With the price tag on this bag, you could have gotten yourself a better more durable bag( You are buying the name only). This bag is not water prove at all, I have tested using a pail of water and poured into this bag. This bag would not hold the water for even 3 seconds and the water just exited and the bottom of this bag as though there is no obstruction at all. The material used on this bag is also not as good as I would have expected from Oakley. It is so thin that I do not think this bag would pass a real field trip in any form of training activity. The back support of this bag sucks too, the padding are too thin thus does not provide comfort for my back for long time usage. My other bag "BlackHawk" will be a better choice should I need a more tougher bag. I gave this bag 2 stars because for the Oakley design but other than the design materials used on this bag is very disappointing. This bag I got from CRC is "Made In Thailand" so I think at least it is better than "Made In China"? The only plus point I can give for this bag is their design is great, functional external pockets. I do own a few of Oakley products example their Sunglasses, gloves etc and I do like Oakley products but not this particular item though. 26 June 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Spacious pack I bought this for my daily commute on my bike. I've been using it for about a month now and its working out great. Its well made and has a spacious main compartment to take my lunch and clothes. the laptop sleeve works well for paperwork as well keeping it flat. There's loads of pockets and compartments for your tools etc including two lined pockets for phones and ipods. I use a waterproof rucksack cover when the weathers minging to keep it clean. It sits well on my back distributing weight evenly when in the riding position. 01 February 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Durable Pack Bought this for work. I'm a logging road builder out on the west coast of B.C. So I am in remote areas for work. Needed a reliable pack, and this suits the bill. will keep you posted if backpack starts to fail. 29 September 2012
