The original pegs were a group of axle nuts welded together. While those feeble beginnings seem silly by today’s standards, they were the basis of grinding, stalls and giving girls rides. Today, pegs are heat treated, machined, milled and designed way beyond the first pegs, but the idea is the same. While it may seem that a metal peg has little technology involved. There is quite a bit that goes into the JPEG light and the Jpeg Lighter. They are heat treated and internally machined to save weight. The lighter version is externally machined to even more weight savings. Even with all this lightening. The Jpegs remain heavy duty street pegs that can take any abuse.

They are light and really sweet, but mine broke in the back at the external drilling.. its to thin to hold up for hard grinding. get the regular jpeg. -front peg is still holding up though
