Oneten Flow Waterproof Overshoes

When it comes to keeping your feet protected from wind, rain and wheel spray; the Oneten Flow waterproof overshoe has you covered on all fronts.

The PU coated fabric and taped seams offer full waterproof protection; the stretchy fabric also offers a snug fit and makes getting in and out of the overshoes much easier.

The soft brushed inner surface offers additional warmth and comfort whilst the waterproof zips ensure ingress of water and wheel spray is eliminated. The added “garage door flap” zip cover adds improved comfort and eliminates chafing from an exposed zip rubbing on the back of the achilles tendon.

Reinforced panels in the toe and heel areas provide durability and grip when walking whilst the elasticated cleat and heel pad openings ensure a snug fit to help seal out water ingress from the sole.

Features:

  • Waterproof stretch PU coated fabric 280g/m2 (50%PU – 50% polyester)
  • Soft brushed inner for added warmth
  • Taped seams for complete waterproofing
  • Waterproof  zips
  • Garage door flap zip cover for added comfort
  • Silicone gripper on ankle cuff
  • Reinforced heel and toe for durability
  • Reflective Oneten logos and accents for increased visibility

Answer:
Hey Rick,
based on your size I'd maybe suggest a medium. According to OneTen a medium is 41-45.

Answer:
I wear size 43 (UK 9.5) Northwave Fighter SBS Road Shoes. They are fairly slim shoes and by no means bulky.

I decided to ignore the advice from CRC and One Ten and went for a size Large in these overshoes.

Glad I did too! A size Medium wouldn't have covered my toes. In fact, the large is just about at its limit. Plus if you have anything other than skinny to medium ankles you should forget these as you'll never zip them up if you've got chunky legs.

I'd say the Large is okay for UK 8 to 9.5. From that you should be able to work out what size you need.

Also... price-wise... these are okay at the discounted price but you'll be disappointed if you pay more than say, £15.

Answer:
Never actually used these and personally looking at the sole of the overshoes.... there not ideal for use on flats.

Of course there is nothing to stop you from using them on flat pedals, but you risk ripping them at the bottom.

Answer:
Won't stand up to the type of wear they'd be subjected to on a mountain bike. Plus you don't want them coming into contact with your pedals. With a road shoe and cleat it's only the cleat that touches the pedal. The overshoe has a hole for the cleat and heal and so sits 'above' the pedal when riding and floor when walking.

Go for something tougher and designed for that purpose (MTB). I'd suggest a neoprene overshoe with a sole containing a Kevlar weave and rubber toe section.... or simply get some decent waterproof shoes instead. If you're using flat pedals you just need something with a fairly firm sole that also allow you to tuck laces out of the way of pedals / chain rings etc.

Answer:
Based on the previous questions it seems that someone has purchased these and recommends that for a UK 8-9.5 it's best to use a large.

Given this information I'd maybe say go for the XL.
