Rated 2 out of 5 by silly buy for a silly bike if u expect that THIS will be the one ...its not gonna be... overpriced nd disappointing on performance... mine got torn apart while i was in the middle of my winter tour ... what to say??? if you need nothing more than a "bag" in front of your handlebar and if u got lods of money to spend nd if u r curious how long it would last...buy it 03 January 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice bag for the day tripping The clamp was a tiny bit fiddly to fit to my Claud Butler Vantage mountain bike but it will fit all size handlebars, my bars taper but it still fitted fine in less than 10 minutes. I use the bag to carry my camera, sandwiches and small flask and it does the job. The bike still looks good with or without the bag and the bag's not too bulky to carry when using the shoulder strap. Good value and well designed for the casual biker. 29 February 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Reasonable I would tend to agree with other reviews that this is a reasonable bag for the price(apart from the guy complaining about the bag 'only' fitting a 31.8mm bar - this is nonsense; it comes with perfectly adequate shims for smaller bars). I would add that the map case/cover on top isn't big enough to fit a properly folded OS or sustrans map inside, so is a bit pointless. The overall manufacturing quality also feels a little poor so I'm not sure how durable this bag would be. Bottom line: I wish I'd paid the extra money and gone with the Carradice Super C bar bag. 05 May 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good value Neat bag, easy to fit and remove, does the job at a fair price 09 April 2010
Rated 3 out of 5 by fair for the price My bag came with the plastic shims for fitting to bars other than 31.8. The klik-fix fitting is bigger than most cheap ones that I've seen and the fixing screws are 6mm, which is generally pretty big for this type of product. The 8.5l capacity might be there if the outside pockets are added in but it seems small to me. If, like me, you use a 31.8 bar with a heavily tapered mid-section, you might have difficulty keeping the hanger off the tapered part of the bar. The size of the fitting probably is in proportion with the capacity of the bag so avoid overloading. If the bag is in place on the Klik-fix it comes very close to (my) brake levers and it is not possible to use a br mounted headlight. The brake lever problem would not be present if you use drop bars. This is a common problem with bar-bags. For those of us who like to fit front bags to racks or similar devices this bag presents certain problems. There is no rigid bottom panel and the waterproof cover is accessed from the bottom of the bag. I think the solution is to remove the klik-fix fitting from the back of the bag (more 6mm bolts) and to bolt the bag rigidly to a suitable plate fitting on the rack (all of which has to be made up); the board at the back of the bag is thick and fairly solid so ideal for this sort of conversion. All in all, a reasonably made, reasonably cheap bag. If you need Ortlieb then pay the price (double the price of this one). Otherwise this is quite adequate. 16 July 2009
Rated 3 out of 5 by Don't buy it The clamp on this bar bag is terrible. Terrible design. It is ONLY for 31.8mm oversized bar diameter, it does not come with shims to adapt other bar types. The fastening system is plastic and is terribly designed. 16 October 2008
