Rated 2 out of 5 by kitmonkey good idea, bad design
I do love the idea of this as my 4 year old daughter can sit in front of me and see what is going on. It also balances the bike well, without the disconcerting light front wheel you get withe the rear mounted seats, especially when walking the bike. However, even though the idea is good, the implementation is flawed: Tightening the clamps down enough to stop it slipping crushes the tubes - I would be very wary about putting this on an aluminium alloy frame in case it cracked. Also the rubber shims supplied also "leak" some kind of oil and permanently stain the paintwork brown. The high back gets in the way when not carrying a child and standing up and since it's a bit of a pain to take on and off, I just ended up cutting it off with a hacksaw.
Fit this to an old steel frame that you don't really care about and you'll be fine. Fit it to your pride and joy and you'll be gutted when you need new frame!

Poor quality and design. As already stated doesn't fit on larger frame bikes. Seat post should be curved to fit top of crossbar properly. Bolts thread if you are not super careful. Wouldn't trust it to carry one of my child's teddy bears.

After using this for about five months I discovered that this had made a large crack appear in the top tube and the frame was a write off. Really can't recommend it.

I've owned this item for a couple of months now and amazing is the only word to describe this. l have a two year old who loves this seat. l can talk to him while we are riding along , l can also more importantly, hear his answer.
It's simple and easy to install, It doesn't play with the feel of your bike and it really gets your little one involved in your ride.
Five Stars because it doesn't slow me down and l can use the back of my bike for my bag. LOVE IT

This is a simple idea that makes the world of difference.
When our daughter got too big for the seat on the back - she hadn't outgrown it but her shifts in the seat were making the bike unstable, we tried this and it works brilliantly. There is such an improvement in the handling and balance of the bike and she now enjoys 'steering' the bike as she can hold onto the handle bars.
Just a note of caustion that on bikes with a large diameter frame you my need to purchase long screws to fit the seat - but it's worth it!
I would definately recommend this for anyone wishing to get their child about on an adults bike.
