Rated 2.5 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Spend a bit extra for a quality brand Two of the LEDs failed before the first battery change. The strap also broke after only a few uses. Seeing all the other poor reviews, I shall avoid Oxford products. 24 August 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Unreliable, easily broken. My wife and I both brought a set, both front lights flicker when riding and both mounts snapped. Next time I will spend more money and get a decent set. 30 January 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Back fine, front not Like many others, found the back light fine (though nowhere near as bright as the one in the Smart 35 set) but the front ... no bracket problems as it was barely used, but a light where some of the LEDs cut out (anything from one to seven, seemingly at random) when you hit a bump is a liability. 30 October 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not recommended! I bought this set 1 month ago and the first problem I had was with the front light clip that broke and I had to replace it. Then it was the back light, that although is very bright, each time you hit a road bump it goes off! Yesterday, I got the same problem with the friend from Ireland with my front light. I think reliability is a top issue, especially for lights, so I recommend to go for a more expensive but reliable solution. 22 June 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by OK But... As with other reviews the front light dims when riding over bumps and both of the straps broke after about 4 months. The lights are OK but the front light is just a pocket size torch now. 01 January 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by poor No problems with rear light- works fine and is nice and bright. Front light however is a different story. I've had this set for about 4 months now and i'm on my 2nd set. The first one suffered a return when the rubber band connecting the bracket to the handle bar perished and light came loose. Second set didn't fair much better. On both the old and the new front light the power quickly fades. I'm using rechargable batteries and have to charge them weekly. I presume the 9 LED configuration uses too much power. Also, one of the nine LEDs has failed and one goes on and off intermittently. Avoid!! 09 January 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Impressive for the price I've had none of the problems listed by other people here doing a daily commute in the dark evenings over the last 6 weeks? The 'rubber band' fitting for the front light is really secure on my fat MTB bars, but I did almost lose the 'top strap' bit when fumbling around putting the light on in the dark. I'm impressed how bright it is but agree flashing would be nice. Back light is great, not only flashes but also has a 'chasing' effect around the LEDs that means it has the attraction factor and energy saving of flashing but also the benefit of 'always on'. Had a crash on the ice and the back light came to pieces, but clicked back together and worked straight away- more than I can say for my knees: build quality is impressive. So good I'm here to buy another set for my other bikes 23 November 2010
Rated 3 out of 5 by Fairly bright "torch" with pathetic handlebar mount Got this today and rode home with it. Handlebar bracket came apart after 6 miles and front light dropped in road, luckily cars were able to straddle it and the 3rd one let me into the road to recover it. Found light with half a bracket still attached but other half nowhere to be seen in road - thats because it was still attached to the bike! Bracket can swivel through 360 degrees, but the pivot is only a friction fit with a small shoulder to hold two halves together. Top rubber "band" does not hold "torch" very firmly to bracket, torch does not seat very well and hook for band is fiddly. The light survived with only a few scratches. As for performance the 9 LEDs are about 4 times brighter than my old Smart LED units and lights up about 20m ahead down dark lanes but it is much dimmer than a good quality light and has no flash mode. The most annoying thing about it is that it vibrates, I think it must be the 3xAAA cell holder moving around inside the aluminium torch body - an elastic band or insulating tape may bodge that. Rear light looks good and comes with a bracket for seat post OR fork mounting. Have seen some similar sized 14 LED torches for 5 quid each which look like a much better buy - the poor bracket, and rear light does not justify the difference. 04 November 2010
