The Fire XC Pro design offers excellent traction and cornering in just about any terrain without the penalty of high rolling resistance or soft fast wearing tread compounds.
ASB: When you see the ASB logo, it means that the tire has a proprietary anti-rebound rubber strip that reduces the chance of pinch flats by an average of 40%!
BAX: BAX technology uses extremely narrow 0.14 diameter cord which is weaved at a super high density into the casing for lightness and flexibility. This increased density improves resistance to cuts and abrasions
Multi Step: Panaracer’s exclusive Multi-Step knobs have various heights designed into each knob These stepped knobs help tires to perform in all conditions from hard to soft. Short big knobs are specially designed to provide an excellent ride that also delivers the lightest weight full knobby MTB tires
Silica: Adding silica compounds to tire treads vastly improves tire life, increased durability and grip.

Rated 4 out of 5 by GuthazUK Fantastic in the dry
As the summary says, these tyres are great in the dry. They grip like a dream over any dry surface and corner well. The only downside is wet mud and especially wet wood. They do tend to slide about a bit in the wet, and I came off going over small, damp wooden bridge due to the front end losing all grip. I would completely recommend these as a summer tyre, but if you cycle all year around I'd buy something else.

more traction than any other tyre that i have used before, ive been running these tyres for over 2000 miles and they still look the same as the day i got them.
i have the folding version which is amazing off road as you can let them down to 30psi and have all 2.1 inches on the mud at one time but the only issue with folding is punctures and thats easily rectified by tyre liners,
only other bad point is the ammount of rolling resistance on road but the humming noise they make is a real head turner

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous I run this tyre on the back of my AM hartdail. It is a fantastic rear tyre and I gave it a solid test up in North Wales.
It was quite grippy on hardpack as well as loose shingle and gravel. What mud there was shed pretty quickly, same can't be said for my Maxxis Advent up front.
It suffered a bit when the conditions got greasy but this tyre is designed as a fit and forget all rounder. And at that it does it's job spectacularly.
I think I will be running this tyre on the back for a while to come

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous Good grip but soft rubber
I have had this tyre in 2.1 on the rear of my enduro and have loved the grip it gives in dry hardpac and light mud but anything more and it strugles. It cant shed mud very well, gets slippery in the wet (let go on me on wet rocks and paving with no warning). Its also hard to judge how much cornering grip u have. Because of the grip its slow, stick semi slicks on and its a gd 4 mph faster.
The downside of the grip is the soft rubber which is way to soft. It has had it only after about 700 miles, the tred is splitting from old punctures, little stones embed themselves in the tyre and eventully go through so I have to check the tyre before ever ride.
Tyre is going in the bin and not buying another.
