Panaracer Mach SS Semi-Slick MTB Tyre

The SS is the ultimate front semi-slick provides outstanding cornering with super low rolling resistance.

Technologies:

  • When you see the ASB logo, it means that the tire has a proprietary anti-rebound rubber strip that reduces the chance of pinch flats by an average of 40%!
  • BAX technology uses extremely narrow 0.14 diameter cord which is weaved at a super high density into the casing for lightness and flexibility. This increased density improves resistance to cuts and abrasions
  • 3D Knobs are designed to perform multi-directionally and are located on the tire sides. They are positioned in multiple directions to help maintaining traction and durability while riding on the side knobs

Features:

  • ETRTO: 47-559
  • TPI: 126/27

Rated 5 out of 5 by ótimo Excellent, for use in asfalto and terra batida, produto com qualidade, para uso diário, com boa aderência, surpreendeu-me no uso dia-a dia. 26 December 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by 15 October 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by so much potential but... i've had these tyres for about 5 months now and have to say say that i feel somewhat disappointed by them. the tyres have many good points such as their light weight, which can be attributed to the very thin and lightweight carcass. this does make the tyre very quick especially when pumped up to 65psi for road riding, the grip is good even when cornering in the wet. however the major issue with this tyre is the lack of puncture protection. in the time i've had the tyres they've covered around 1200 miles on road and i've had at least 20 punctures. this is mainly down to the thin tyre carcass which doesnt do enough to protect the inner tube. in some case small pieces of glass have also left tiny cuts in the tread. i very much doubt that i will be getting these tyres again due to the lack of protection...if Panaracer were to provide puncture protection then this would be a great tyre but as it stands they they are an average tyre at best. 18 March 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by have been using these tyres for 4 months now on both the front and rear for commuting on the road. positives first - they are easy to fit and you dont even need to use tyre levers, they are light, they grip well even on wet tarmac so you can attack turns in the road with confidence and they are fast rolling. you have to pump them up as much as you can to get the best out of them (i run mine at 65psi). the negatives - their light weight equates to poor puncture protection. i've not had any pinch flats but while using these tyres i've suffered at least 5 punctures since i've had them...normally this wouldnt be an issue given that the roads i ride on often have a lot of debris including glass and 5 punctures over a 4 month period is not too bad...but given the state of the tyres i think i've been lucky. last week i swapped the tyres for my maxxis ignitors to use in the snow for a few days, but when it came to putting the mach ss's back on i noticed a huge number of tears and cuts all over the tyre treads for both wheels. this became more apparent as i pumped the air into the tyres, pushing the air between the inner tubes and tyres out. the tyres were still wet and i could see little air bubbles all over the tyres where the air was leaking out due to the damage. i'm still running the tyres, but i half expect to suffer a major blow out at some point in the future. this is a really good tyre, which is only let down by the lack of effective puncture protection. 28 January 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Had this tyre on for for about 10 months.. Great all rounder for mainly road use with a little off road. Had quite a few punctures at first so tyre liners are essential. But it bubbled or "egged" in the end! dont know if this is usual or not for this tyre but very annoying, 09 December 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by 27 August 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Have used this tyre for dry cross country & long distance country road rides for years. Due to the tiny tread pattern they shed water off the treads without your face getting splattered in wet tarmac conditions. In fact you will know when its time to buy another set when you start getting wet! One pair aprox 4000 mile every 12 months. 03 May 2011
