You could use other sockets and bits but you'd likely have to buy more than one set, with this you don't.

I love park tools, this was the first thing i bought along with the Big Clicker torque wrench. i've not tried any other brands for socket/bit sets but there is all i need in one slab.

Brilliant collection of bits you always need.
Mine goes from workshop to shows/ events and races all week and having been using it for several months I've had no issues and hardly looks used.
Ok, your paying for the Park Name but its a trusted company with a good reputation and even better tools.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous Great set but...
This is a great socket set, but it doesn't come with a case, the tray shown on the picture is all you get. Why no case this cost £32!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous Good quality and suitable for most bike jobs
A good quality set and nicely compliments the new "clicker" Park Tool torque wrenches (although for the price of the wrenches the bits should really be supplied). Suitable for most jobs however the hex bits are not long enough for some - the 5 mm will not reach far enough into my carbon frame and fork to tighten the brake caliper fastening nut.
