Rated 1 out of 5 by Will mesure torque only when thightening bolts. Useless for counter clokwise threads. I had to sent mine back 19 January 2011
27 August 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Expensive, but essential addition to any serious bikers tool I've noticed that more and more parts I've bought state torque settings. Afar buying Carbon bars I decided to look out for a torque wrench. I've seen cheaper wrenches at Machine Mart and on the internet, but the first thing to make clear (and to respond to comments below) is that these are no use for bike parts. The expense comes from the precision of lower torque settings. Cheap torque wrenches will NOT go as low as this torque wench. The click is very faint as you'd expect when low forces are set, but there is a movement in the handle which is un-mistakable! The instructions are aimed at people who know the correct way to use a torque wrench which could explain problems people have had. The lock on the end of the handle and the handle itself feels cheap compared to the rest of the tool which is why I give this 4 instead of 5 stars, but overall it's a good tool which I'm glad I've got 29 August 2008
Rated 4 out of 5 by Works perfectly (if you know how to use one) Yes. You can get cheaper torque wrenches than the Pedros one but they don't go down to the same low settings as this and they are no-where near as accurate. It's expensive because it's a very good tool and like any good tool you have to know how to use it to get the best from it. Considering the potential cost of bikes these days I don't think £100 is unreasonable to spend on a tool as useful as this. I only give it a 4 out of 5 because it needs a better conversion chart included with the packaging to save a little time working out the conversions in your head. Otherwise I've been perfectly happy with this. 08 June 2008
