These elbow pads are a great way to protect your joints from impact. They also add more confidence so you can bomb down downhill runs. Now what separates these from other pads is that they do not pinch, they don't stick to you, and allow mobility. What i like the most about these pads is that when your body heat transfers to the material the material gets softer and allows you to move better without losing impact protection.
The bottom line is that if you have the money for them, these pads are the way to go. You have to cough up if you want quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by syumassh Solidly built, stays in place, tough as nails.
I have been using these for several rides in 30-34 deg C tropical weather (that's 86-92F). It doesn't make your arm feel extra hot, but hey; you're already in hot weather, everything is warm!
Stitching is faultless, material is extremely high quality and tough. Polygiene layer aids in odor control way better than other elbow guards I have owned. Stays in place with the help of some clever design and rubberized materials on the upper elbow. Sizing is true to fit.
Took a fall on this but at a relatively low speed on a climb, didn't feel a thing. Plus I landed on my left elbow which was 1.5 weeks into recovery from a bad road rash. The POC guards absorbed all the impact and stayed in place. Gives you a lot of confidence.
