The POC Joint VPD Knee Pads are a soft knee protection made of stretchy Aramid fabric and VPD that is simply as comfortable as it gets but at the same time provides excellent shock absorbance. The material conforms to the shape of your strange, bony leg parts. POC Joint VPD Knee Pads a wise investment for both downhill and trials riding where falls and impacts into immovable objects are always a possibility. The most common advice with body armour is to buy it 'before' you 'need' it, rather than 'after' you 'needed' it.

Slip down. No straps above calves so these things get squeezed down your legs by your thighs as you ride. The rubber used inside is hard as hell if it's cold so they slip even worse then and don't bend so press really hard on your kneecaps. I had high hopes but I'm going back to 661...

These are comfortable, stay in place and I hardly notice they are on.
Mine are a couple of years old and starting to show minor signs on wear. Ill probably be looking at replacing them some time next year and was thinking of trying another brand just for the sake of change. This was until the other week when I fell a good metre - metre and a half, going at a decent pace, straight on to one knee, square on a cobble. The only injury I sustained was a small graze where the fabric rubbed the skin on the inside of the pad. I got up and continued the ride. I wont be wearing any other pads from now on.

Bought these after a bit of deliberation after reading other reviews saying they slip down. I have found them to be very comfortable and once worn a few times stay in place nicely as they mould to the shape of your knee. They definitely saved me in wales recently on a downhill track, I was back up and on the bike without a second thought!
