Rated 1 out of 5 by Very disappointed Bought a set of these wheels. Was happy with purchase until a spoke snapped. I also lost the plastic spacer. I had to have the replacement spokes and spacer shipped from the manufacturer at my expense, as they were not available in Europe. Now the bearings are worn in the rear wheel and need replacement. All within 6,000 kms. 2 other club members have had similar experiences. 05 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by
Rated 3 out of 5 by light, smooth, but clanky they feel pretty smooth when bowling along, but boy do the clatter and clank. I've had fulcrums and 2 pairs of r500 which both been silent in comparison. There is no play or looseness (as far as I can tell). Will take them to LBS at some point and update. 03 July 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best wheels I have ever had I have been cycling over 20 years, I am a very big rider 100 kg and not fat. These things are amazing, done over 5000 KM on them and they are still perfectly true. Ordered another set for my race bike and frankly the price is just amazing compared to other brands. 15 May 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good, but not amazing. It's no secret that this is a light wheel set. They were great for the first 3000k but after that I had a nipple shear on the front and a spoke snap on the back with a week of each other. The nipples are useless, they are cheap alloy and at least 50% of them are fractured. Decide to rebuild the wheel with DT swiss spokes and nipples, feels way more solid but now the braking surface is uber worn down. All in all, good wheel set but you can see where corners have been cut, spokes and nipples are useless and the braking surface is too cheap. 22 April 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Pro-Lite Bracciano Reviews As a follow up to my previous review, the weights are for the silver pair (shimano type). The black wheels are 13 grams heavier - 4 grams on the front, 9 grams on the rear. I assume that is the weight of the black paint on the rims, hubs, and spokes. The rear wheel comes with braces on the spokes on the non-drive side. The claimed weight of these are 3.5 grams. See this link http://www.bikeradar.com/road/news/article/pro-lite-introduce-spoke-braces-for-gaviabracciano-wheels-34535/ Also, see this link that reviews 14 wheels. The Braccianos were top pick: http://2011.pro-lite.net/images/stories/Clipping_PDF/cyp225_wheels.pdf http://www.bikeradar.com/road/gear/article/best-road-wheel-upgrades-34661/ For additional reviews look at these links too http://velostage.com/pro-lite-bracciano-review/ http://www.pro-liteoz.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=19 http://road.cc/content/review/6577-pro-lite-bracciano-wheelset http://forums.cyclingweekly.co.uk/showthread.php?9535-Quest-Pro-lite-Bracciano-wheels http://www.roadbikereview.com/cat/wheels/wheelsets/pro-lite/bracchiano/prd_418957_2490crx.aspx http://roadcyclinguk.com/news/pro-lite-bracciano-wheelset-first-look.html http://2011.pro-lite.net/?option=com_content&task=view&id=176 http://www.bicycles.net.au/forums/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=48040 http://www.bicycles.net.au/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=22893 http://road.cc/tags/bracciano http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=16027115 01 March 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Now on my second pair, the value for money compared the weight is amazing. The reason is these guys are a real manufacturer and also make for other brands.I hear they now have a new wheel called the Paula that looks amazing 25 January 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by For the money there good but' I've covered about six hundred miles on these 2011. The hubs are excellent but the rims do flex a little. I,m 66kg the rear spokes ping a bit on climbs out of the saddle but I solved this problem by fitting Pro-Lite's spoke tensioners that are made for these wheels & they go on the none drive side only. I had to get these from the importer, no charge. I think these wheels now come with these fitted on the 2013 model? The front wheel could had been better on fast descending in the Pyrenees under hard braking coming up to hairpin bends flat out they feel a LITTLE bit of flex turning in to some not the all bends. I would rate then as good for Sportive use but not so for Road Racing. 16 January 2013

Answer:
The Pro-Lite Bracciano wheels as a pair weigh in at 1500 grams, this can vary very slightly a few grams between sets. For the money this weight is very competitive making the wheels very good value for money. There is no penalty with the low weight, they are still stiff and responsive making them feel like a much more expensive wheel-set.

Answer:
There are various freehub bodies for these wheels but unfortunately they are not items that we stock; they are best sourced through the manufacturer.
