Rated 5 out of 5 by my favourite After many years of riding with Royal pants, I've bought the Race Face pants and I love them! I have read the reviews of people complaining about the fabric of the pants and I disagree. 17 January 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great all rounder I've worn these for 18 months now including long(ish) distance xc, trail centres, and up lift days. They've been great in all circumstances. They're water proof enough to shed water rather than hold it in the fabric and tough enough to have shrugged off a number of crashes with no mark at all. The fit is good, not overly baggy (i'm a 32" waist and bought Large) but still able to comfortably get knee pads on underneath. Pockets work well where they are on the side rear of the thigh, you don't feel things bouncing around, while the vents also work well with permanent vents on the sides and additional zippered vents across the upper thigh. I've never found them to be either scratchy or overly hot. The only small improvement I'd say was required is the shaping at the rear which can slip down a little and could do with coming slightly higher up the back, but this isn't an issue as I always wear a base layer tucked in to the shorts. They're not cheap (then again neither are they the most expensive out there) but if you can get them in a sale they're well worth it. 04 January 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Too hot and scratchy Too hot to wear above about 28 centigrade. Coarse fabric which scratches you when pedaling. Maybe a good DH or casual short for northern summers. 10 September 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great bikepark short Indestructible shorts. Not strechy and on the warmer side so they fit the bikepark better than trailriding, but I use them for both. Great pocket placement which easily stores wallet, phone and keys. I don't understand the people who think they're "scratchy". I've never felt anything like that and if I ride trails I have biketights under them anyway. I wear size 32-34 in jeans depending on brand and type and I have these in XL, which is big and baggy. 08 September 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by indestructible and well designed The fabric can feel a bit rough but this short is strong and nice. there is 2 pocket which are well situated and 2 vent!! I love it perfect for riding my local bike park !! 31 August 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Abrasive fabric, a bit small Looks beautiful, but impossible to wear. Despite it has a mesh inside, you still feel how terrible material is. It scratches your body. Another disadvantage is lack of back pocket, which I find very useful on Troy Lee shorts. These shorts are on the small side. I wear size 32 usually, but this item was very tight. Returned. 16 May 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not what I expected I was waiting for these shorts to appear in stock for a while, ordered, and now disappointed. The design is cool, but 1. the material is terrible, it's abrasive and stings. 2. Size 32 should be good on me, but this short is too tight. Also I'd recommend manufacturer to add a pocket to the back of waist as Troy Lee Moto Shorts has. Will return. 12 May 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Shorts Watch out with the sizing! I generally wear a size 33 waist and had to buy size large to fit these shorts. Medium was super tight! 30 April 2013
