The deus xc post features an innovative, patent pending head design which offers maximum adjustability while minimizing weight.
• Forged and CNC machined from 6061 aluminum, the seatpost head is incredibly strong and fatigue resistant. • Patent pending head design is lightweight and distributes loads more efficiently than conventional seatpost head designs. • Offers unprecendented adjustibility - with infinite tilt adjustment completely independent from the fore/aft adjustment. • Side clamping rail system distributes loads to the clamp, rather than the bolt, virtually eliminating the possibility of broken bolts. • The head accomodates 7mm and 8mm rails while providing 35mm of rail support. Features a 0.5" rearward offset.
• The seatpost tube is manufactured from 7050 heat treated aluminum for the optimal strength to weight ratio. • Race Face's triple butting process maintains strength in critical areas while reducing overall weight. • The tube is anodized and shot peened for increased fatigue life
Rated 4 out of 5 by watanabe Seems alright if you're not too heavy (?)
Very easy to adjust the front-back setting and the angle of the seat all
separately, independently. Might be handy if you use the same seat with
this post on different bikes (though it seldom happens, probably)
I haven't had the "clamp breaking" problem so far on my hard tail bike,
though I've ridden on rough trails many times. That may be because
I'm too light for it and also I won't put much weight on the saddle whilst
riding or descending.
One down side is that the usual saddle bags don't fit the saddle with this
post nicely because of its clamp, but it's not a big deal at all.
Looks nice and neat, I'm quite happy with this.

this is a graet post, i`ve read that some people have broken the clamp, this must be caused by over tightening or abuse as i do trail riding and weigh 16st and these posts have never faulted for me, i`ve had the evolve version and the deus version on both my bikes and great especially at 40 quid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous superb seatpost
This seatpost replaced the stock race face one that came with my frame as it was not long enough. I find the clamp and adjustment on it just brilliant and so easy to use. Looks great and does the job brilliantly. 5* product.

Mine broke where the clamp meets the post.
I used it only for XC riding and I don't even know what hucking is.
It was £70 and should last alot longer than this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous Not good experience
An overly fussy allegedly easy to adjust seatpost that doesn't allow the saddle to be put a little nose-down. The poor bonding between post and head clamp end is likely to give way with a thunk in due course particularly after an epic huckfest! Not recommended will need replaced. Thompson Elite post or something carbon better for strength.

This is the best post I have had for ease of adjustment.
The rail clamps are easy to use, bolt access is great and you can then alter the angle separately.
Think this post may be the one to finally end the curse of fiddly and unreliable clamps.
