Rated 5 out of 5 by Il prodotto offre funzionalità fantastiche Ottima corona. La catena non cade mai e non crea nessun tipo di problema. io l'ho montata con trasmissione Shimano 10V e funziona alla grande. Consigliatissima!!! Poi è anche disponibile in diversi colori tutti fighissimi. 25 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome option What more needs to be said? It just works. Great design and looks to boot. Obviously a clutch derailleur is a must if you don't run a guide, and get your chainline as good as you can. Result= no dropped chains. 19 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Wanted to change from 2 rings up front to a single, read the reviews and seemed good. Changed it myself and the ring bolts of my cranks rings I took of fitted perfect. I went for a 32 tooth with a 11/36 on the rear and I find I can get all the gears I want. The chain hasn't dropped of yet it sticks on perfect,I took about 4 links out the chain. Also you get ride of the front derailer and trigger in the bars.. I would recommend this. 17 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic This chainring has great chain retention and keeps it on with the help of a zee clutch mech 14 August 2014

Rated 2 out of 5 by Naff Doesn't work don't bother, chain falls off 3-4 times a ride. Just fitted a chain guide 12 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Verry good seller.. quick delivery Thumbs up.. thank you... highly recommended bike and parts' seller. 12 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by 1x10 for life! Bought this a few months ago (second one) and had converted from my 2x10 Shimano XT M785 cranks to 1x10. Its super simple with those cranks and it just looks the part, I'm well impressed with the chainring on how it performs and the life you get out of it. I would highly recommend this product to everyone who is going 1x10 in the future or now, best chainring I have ever bought so far. 12 August 2014

Answer:
Single-ring set-ups tend to use shorter chain ring bolts, so it may be necessary to replace your existing bolts with some single-ring specific bolts. Try your existing bolts first though - if they don't catch on anything and they're still in good condition then there's no issue.

Answer:
If both chainrings are mounted with the same bolt then you'll need new ones. If not you can use the ones for your largest ring.

Answer:
I've just installed a 30t on a slx m675 double, used the 8.5mm bolts that were used on the existing small ring, this leaves 1.3mm of thread, which is about 1.5 to 2 threads exposed on the chainring. This set up appears to be adequate.

Answer:
Yes it should work fine, but if you go ahead with your suggestion also consider that you will almost certainly need to shorten your chain and possibly change your chain ring bolts to single-ring specific bolts if your existing bolts are too long.

Answers

Answer:
A chainguide could help with the problem but in many ways defeats the purpose of using a 'Narrow/Wide' chainring in the first place.

The issue of chain drop is being caused by too much chain slack which is the result of the long cage derailleur. Ideally to solve the problem and obtain a very efficient drivetrain, it is advised to run either a Type 2 or Shadow+ short cage derailleur depending on the manufacturer of your shifters (be aware that mixing SRAM and Shimano Shifters/Derailleurs should be avoided).

Answer:
Are you dropping on inside or out? My set up is with 11-36T rear cassette and long cage derailleur and doesn't seem to drop. Too much chain length maybe? The short cage is more about smoother quicker shifts on a single front but I'm no expert and it may help. As for the chain guides, hope do an excellent outer one that only weighs about 30g and there are plent of inner ones to choose from that are both iscg and bb fitment

Answer:
I've got this mounted on the 104BCD (middle ring) of my SLX crankset (originally 3x9), running fine here.

Can't speak to the bolts though, I sanded down my original ones to remove the big & small ring on the cranks before I got this & just use them now with no real problems (needed a bit of loctite to keep them tight). I have ordered some Raceface nuts & bolts to replace them, so I'll report back once I've given them a go.

Answer:
This chainring is designed to be used on a 1x9, 1x10 or 1x11 setup.

It will fit to a Deore spider but to use with a 3x10 setup will not be possible as this chainring is not designed to shift.

The suggested bolts below will be fine for securing the chainring to the spider for a 1x10 setup.

Answer:
The 32T versions of this ring that CRC are selling all have a BCD of 104mm. Saint M820's are 104 BCD so yes, the ring will fit fine. Just make sure that the rest of your drivetrain is compatible with running a narrow/wide ring.

If your on about the actual xx1 crankset then no, you'll have to get a sram x-sync ring or a direct mount one, I'd go for the latter as it's lighter and looks much simpler

Raceface are not providing the shims with the new Narrow Wide chainrings. These will need to be purchased separately. Depending on your chainset you may not need the shims, there is a full guide of shims and chainset compatibility on the Raceface website.
