Rated 5 out of 5 by Just an update from my previous review in Jul '08. This headset is still going strong, still as smooth as the day I fitted it. I have never even glanced at this headset in the nearly 2 and a half years it's been on the bike while I've gone through the usual replacements of BBs/chains/cassettes/chainrings. In comparison, a FSA Orbit MX on my other bike is feeling a bit rough after about a year of use. Might be time for another one of these. Would definitely recommend it; just get your frame faced, get it fitted properly and don't remove the bearings to fit it! 30 March 2010

Rated 5 out of 5 by Have been using this for the last 9 months and it's absolutely faultless. If you remove the bearings to press in the cups you WILL destroy the bearings as they're designed to break on removal. 5yr warranty on bearings, lifetime on the rest - what more do you want? 20 July 2008
Rated 2 out of 5 by i think i must have been the poor unfortunate sod who got the rubbish one of the batch. After three months use the headset was making some odd banging noises whilst out on rides. On taking the headset apart, first of all the upper bearing cups had siezed and eventually i got to the upper bearings that had fallen apart with the seals all cracked and smashed. I would choose carefully when spending this amount of money...or save up and get a Chris King! 29 February 2008
Rated 5 out of 5 by I ran one of these on my previous frame for two years, through long wet winter and spring commutes, mud grit etc etc...not once did I have any probs with it. 08 July 2007
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not sure I would recommend this as an upgrade, looks pretty good in silver but have yet to notice any difference between this and the stock Ritchey headset which came with my bike 17 October 2006
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bought this to replace a faulty WTB Headset that was on my bike for only 9 months. It was easy to install with some wood and a hammer, and has worked brilliantly ever since. Have been riding with it now for over 3 months without a problem. Bought the Silver version looks great with a Silver frame. 26 June 2006
Rated 5 out of 5 by Silky smooth, lightweight, nice finish on it. good bearings, durable. Good price - not sure why you needed to take teh bearings out to fit the cups - that isn't necessary at all! Decent headset at a decent price - way better VFM than a King 23 May 2006
