Ragley Marley Hardtail Frame

NEW for 2013, we introduce the Ragley Marley! The Marley features our all NEW 2013 Trail Geometry and is the alloy version based on our new 2013 Ragley Piglet. The Marley features a custom hydro-formed triple butted 7005 T6 series aluminium frame and our revised trail geometry. Building on the success of our earlier Piglet we have retained our innovative features such as the 3 Finger Bridge and our Taperlite seattube. The inclusion of ISCG 05 tabs hint at this bikes true intentions for getting lairy on the trails and hammering the descents!

The Marley uses the 44mm headset standard which permits the use of headsets from Cane Creek, Nukeproof and others to accommodate all steerer tube configurations. With the right headset, this frame can take a 1.125in, tapered or 1.5in fork. We recommend Nukeproof headset models - 44IESS and 44IISS (standard), 44IETS (tapered) or 44EEOS (1.5in steerer).

Ragley New 2013 Trail Geometry:

  • Our revised geometry retains a slack headangle of 67deg to provide impeccable trail manners when coupled with a mid to long travel fork. We have dropped the bottom bracket height to lower your centre of gravity and inspire confidence through the rough stuff with improved handling and stability.

Ragley Marley Hardtail Frame Features:

  • Custom hydro-formed 7005 series aluminium
  • CE EN14766
  • "Three Finger" chainstay bridge is exclusive to Ragley, and allows massive tyre clearance so you can fit 2.5in rubber with massive chainring and tyre clearance. Happy with 36t middle rings and gives resilience to any attempted chainsuck/derailment. Bridgeless design gives better mud clearance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Way too cheap Great frame at an even better price - frame is straight and not a mark on it. Can wait to put it together. 31 December 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Brilliant Just bought this frame recently for an absolute steal at £99. I am swapping previous components onto this frame as previous bike was too small and this is a super cheap way to do it. The frame seem really solid and the build quality/finish is great. I'm loving the acid green colour as well. Im definitely going to stand out on the trails! I'm going to run a 150mm fork and build it up as an aggro hardtail so will hopefully be awesome. You need to get one of those 44mm nukeproof headsets though. Anyone looking for an aggressive hardtail that can get up the climbs and bomb it on the descents should look no further. BUY!!! 27 December 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Frame High quality frame and for the price it was a steal! Going to have this as a project and build a hardcore hardtail. Now to shop for parts :-) 24 December 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Fantastic hardtail frame I broke my carbon suspension frame and bought this as a temporary frame but i really like it so much it might stay. Feels really solid and durable frame. Big tires fit fine and it's been problem free. Sometimes i forget I don't have a suspension frame any more, this can go anywhere! 15 November 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by hate the name, love the frame Had the frame about 2 weeks, (warranty swap from Troof) ridden it in on local trails on very slippy roots, deep sloppy mud and it handles brilliantly. the frame is stiff (but not harsh) and all the pedal force goes into the back wheel as it should giving a very direct pedal feel. It tracks straight and feels very direct in the steering and it doesnt get out of hand. I have ridden this frame the same downwards single track trails as my Trek Remedy, same tyres and at the same speed. Jumps and rides really well It gives the rider confidence to push a little bit harder. Ive taken my tyres to the edge of their grip and still kept it together. With my forks (zochs 55r) not the easiest to climb with esp on very steep rooty climbs. Build quality seems to have improved greatly from the last Ragley I owned (Troof). The paint finish is better, decals under the laquer is also best, but what I like most is the cable routing has moved away from the terrible bolt ons (which were impossible to secure correctly at some parts of the frame) to brazed eyelets. 09 October 2012

This frame says it has Taperlite Seattube, what is this? On the 18" frame, will a 400mm seatpost go all the way down?

Answer:
'Taperlite' is in reference to the slight taper down the Outer Diameter of the seat tube; which adds strength.

A 400mm seatpost will insert entirely into the seat tube without any problems.

Answer:
The complete Marley bike is supplied as a 2x10 setup, but you can fit a triple ring system if you wish, yes. The bottom bracket is a standard 73mm English Thread shell, so will accept regular cartridge and external bearing systems.
