I have a Merida mission (year 2008). I had a fall, and the valve for air inlet was broken.
I don't know the correct pitch for the Manitou LRS rear shocks valve kit.

May be you have some expereince in a similar issue.
Which is your recomended product?
Regardless, what is your recomendation if I need to change the suspension (for a 320 mm lenght)

Thanks in advance

Answer:
This is quite a specific shock design and not something we have in stock. It would be advised to contact the frame manufacturer directly for more information on what is available to replace it.

Answer:
You cannot use any Fox shocks to replace the Manitou.

Full Replacements are:

German A: Prion
Manitou 3way swinger LRS (also known as Radium RL LRS)
DT swiss XM180 LRS
X-Fusion also made the glyde, but I never saw them except as OEM.

You could get replacement parts for manitou, the schrader value I think you have snapped off is 83-2231 and is a common part for a lot of manitou shocks so should be avaliable.

Your best bet is 2nd hand in germany/poland where that frame style was very popular.

Answer:
The 58mm and 38mm refer to the stroke of the shock. We are not a Scott dealer so do not have technical specifications but from our research you will need a 38mm.

To double check this you can easily check the stroke by measuring the fully extended shaft of the shock.

Answer:
You need to identify the shock size required by your frame. The best way to do this is simply to measure the previous shock eye-to-eye and stroke length (image below). You must ensure you use a shock with the same eye-to-eye length or you risk upsetting the frame geometry and handling of the bike.

Not being a Mondraker dealer I can't be sure but I believe the 2014 Foxy runs a 200x57mm shock, so the Cane Creek DBAir shock (sku415620) should be compatible, yes.

Answer:
Not being a Giant dealer I can't be 100% on this. AFAIK the original shock length/stroke is 9"/2.75" (230mm/70mm approx) though would be best to check what is fitted to your frame. It's important to stick with the same length and stroke to avoid upsetting the geometry of your bike. Check your local Giant dealer who should be able to advise on what will work best for you.

The cylinder that I currently use on my bike doesn't lock out anymore and it completely compresses once I sit on the saddle. Due to this happening, I have now also damaged one of my egg beater pedals because I did not have the clearance that I would normally have.

If t you search for the bike on Bike Radar" website you will find a review of the bike with a list of it's components.

Answer:
This bike requires a shock size of 190 x 50mm (26") or 165 x 38mm (29") for which at present we have an option for the 29" bike only.

The two other options listed below are for the 26" wheel bike.

DT Swiss M212 on a Scott Spark 910

I just blew out my fox nude shock on my 2014 Spark 910 and was looking at the DT Swiss M212 (165 x 38) as a replacement. Just wanted to make sure it will fit and does it allow me to still use my remote?

Answer:
Unfortunately this shock is not compatible due to the sizing. This frame requires a shock of measurements 190mm (I2I) x 50mm (Stroke).

The options we have at present are listed below.

Note that the Fox lever you have at present is not compatible with any of these new shocks.
