Rated 5 out of 5 by old fashioned hubby has a very old frame on his bike and this product is 1" and fits but is still strong enough to take him bashing about at high speed :-) 22 August 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by good easy to fit, good quality finish. good valve!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 03 November 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good headet, needs some prep I've just fitted a Ritchey Pro Logic 1" to my old Condor restoration project. Headset was as expected, good quality races housed within a solid body. Did have a bit of trouble getting the cups to go in straight. After cleaning out the frame residue inside the headtube it still was going in crooked. A bit of sandpaper around where the cup meet the frame to take of the black coating gave it just the right fit. Summary: I think that the black coating should stop where inside the frame. Good headset but needs some prep. Neill 07 March 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Ok Caged bearings. The top cap has a tight fitting plastic seal that should work well! Looks good. The crown fitting is too tight - yes ths is the correct fitting for the bike. I should measue it, but I suspect that the headset is simply too tight in this area. May be they have taken the OD of the fork crow race without providing some fitting clearence? Having said all that - about 3 times better than Tokin TK27N at 1/3rd the price. 09 September 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by It's okay for the money but.. It's not the Pro Logic with the cartridge bearings. It's actually the Logic with the steel cups, plastic weather shield and caged ball bearings. No grease in it either. CRC when are you going to correct the description which is clearly misleading? You get the headset as shown in the photo... the Logic one, yes. Oh and it's an ISO 1" size so if you have a JIS 1" frame and fork you will need to get your file out... Nuff said. 29 March 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by OK These are old school now and there aren't many to choose from. This is fine and does the job. But if like me you decided to take on a resto-project, just make sure your frame is ISO 1 inch and not JIS 1 inch (26.4mm vs 27mm). It is possible to use the ISO with at JIS spec frame, but you have to sand down the cup frame plugs to allow them to fit into the frame. You may also have to do the same with the fork crown racer. It is a massive hassle so best off just getting a JIS version! ;-) 05 February 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Brilliant it is a brilliant headset but it said that it comes with cartridge bearings but mine came with caged bearings but it is a good headset no play at all :) 25 August 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good entry level cheap headset, the main reason I got this one was because there weren't many more available at this price on CR. The only downside is that the top chase is covered in a plastic cover which is a little cheap feeling, however i'm not sure if this is standard and whether more expensive headsets are metal here or not. 21 April 2011
