Here’s the story: we met the artist, David Lozeau (pronounced Low-zoh), when he was in marketing at Sinister Bikes, working remotely in Santa Barbara. Other than riding, his passion was for painting, so he took a stab at getting his work shown locally. Dave’s quirky, “SoCal lowbrow” work wasn’t a particularly good fit for the surprisingly conservative Santa Barbara art scene, so he ended up moving to the San Diego area. It was there that his art career took off, and took off with a vengeance!
He now does his art full-time, and has garnered international critical acclaim. He’s worked on projects with Jesse James and Harley Davidson, has been featured in several U.S. hotrod magazines such as Car Kulture DeLuxe, Ol’ Skool Rodz, and Lowrider Arte, and has had gallery showings around the globe.
We wanted to do a nice, simple, “tech-t” type jersey for everyday riding. But, rather than just slap our logo on the chest like everybody else, we asked Dave to do something a little more fun for us. Here’s what the jersey features:
Dave’s custom artwork.
Moisture-wicking Birdseye polyester fabric.
T-shirt cut body and taped collar for all-day riding comfort.
