Technologies:

  • Motion Control™: Imagine riding on the moon. Rolling hills, crushed rock blasted out of craters… craters. There’s no gravity so you wouldn’t even need a chairlift. Unfortunately you can’t ride on the moon. There’s lots of gnarly terrain on earth. But, earth has gravity so you’ll need suspension that climbs as well as it descends. With the Motion Control damper technology you’ll do just that.
  • Power Bulge: When you need your forearms to be stronger for more control, you bulk them up in the gym. When you need more durability from your fork, bulk them up with our Power Bulge. Other companies just increase the stanchion size adding extra weight. Power Bulge simply reinforces the lower leg to allow for an oversized bushing, increasing stiffness and maximizing your ride.
  • Solo Air: Solo Air is like a Buddhist monk. Its enlightened design lets you add air to your forks through a single Schrader valve, filling both the positive and negative air spring chambers simultaneously. So they’re always in perfect equilibrium, like Yin and Yang. Giving you a plush, predictable ride you can set up in seconds, with the lightest weight air spring on the market.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Price for an Awesome fork I usually ride downhill, but picked this up for my XC bike. It came in an hour ago, I slapped it on and went for a ride, it feels great! Super soft solid and good feeling in the turns. It is an awesome riding fork, great upgrade from my 80mm suntour and does not throw of the geo at all. If you need a new 100mm for cheap, snag one of these! 09 June 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by

Answer:
This fork runs a tapered steerer, so is compatible with any frame running a tapered, oversize or semi-integrated (44mm) headtube in conjunction with the appropriate headset. I believe the Rockhopper runs a tapered headtube, but your local Specialized dealer will be able to confirm this for you.
The forks are not supplied with a pump or seal kit as standard; these would need to be purchased separately as needed.

Answer:
These forks run a tapered steerer, so if your original forks were tapered this should be a straight replacement. If your original forks were a straight 1.1/8" steerer, you will need a new headset, such as one of those below.

Answer:
These forks will suit any frame that runs a tapered headtube, or 44mm headtube or larger. Not being a Specialized dealer I can't confirm your headtube standard for you but your local dealer will be able to help you identify the standard you have and whether or not you will need a new headset as well.

Answer:
This fork runs a tapered steerer tube (1.5" to 1.1/8") so will not be a direct replacement for a straight 1.1/8" steerer fork. You may be able to change your headset in order to fit this fork to your frame, but you will need to check with your local dealer/ bike shop to confirm your headtube standard.

This may be possible depending on the headset standard that your bike has.

If you can supply the Headtube Internal Diameter (Top and Bottom) to our Technical Department below; we can advise on whether or not this fork can be used.

This fork is available in both aluminium and steel steerer options, but it doesn't seem to state which version this is in the right up. Please can you let me know which it is.

Thanks,

Kona Lava Dome 2014

I am wondering if these forks will fit on my new Kona Lava Dome 2014?

It is a 29" that came with SunTour XCT forks that I am looking to upgrade from.

I am not sure if I need tapered or not and cannot find the steering diameter for my bike.

Thanks.
