Rock Shox Reverb Stealth Seatpost

When you’re ripping through rolling terrain, cranking the pedals one minute and getting off the back of the bike the next, no seat height is “just right”. Rated 5 out of 5 by 15 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Brilliant piece of kit, total "game changer" If you're thinking about purchasing a "dropper" post don't bother looking at other brands, yes they all do more or less the same thing but I can tell you from experience that the "reverb" is the best selling post for a reason. Keep them clean, if you can't service it yourself then pay for it to be serviced and it will last you for years. Well made, intuitive to use, decide on how you want to run it, left/right overhand/underhand and off you go. 100% recommended. 27 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome addition Great piece of kit, very nicely made and comes with everything you need in the box including bleed syringes and fluid plus a torx key. Very easy to fit and i even shortened the line a bit and didn't need to bleed it. Its already saved me a couple of times, if I hadn't been able to drop the post i would have been caught out by some bigger than expected drops and being able to comfortably get off the back made all the difference. 14 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome bit of kit. Fitting was easy as it came with bleed kit and barb for pulling the pipe through the frame. To choosing the length, i measured the height my post was at, then added how much post could fit in the frame. I own a 2014 Trek Fuel, and the 420mm fits perfectly. The main thing once fitted, is to bleed it properly, as the post can't drop when there is air in the system. It's personal preference as to how much spare pipe you have. I chose to leave enough of a loop at the front so the post could be removed from the frame, just by sliding the extra pipe through the frame clips, rather than cutting them all off and removing the remote. 01 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 Great Quality and price Usual great Rockshox quality. Great sale price! Recommended 27 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just Get One !!! Great product, like some I was sceptical about the latest ''trend'' in dropper posts but after taking the plunge and using one it's hype that is totally justified. It'll transform you riding experience and the Reverb is such a well made bit of kit. Shortening the hose is very easy, just watch some vids on youtube instead of reading the instructions, take your time and it's easy. My reverb even came with the bleed kit in the box despite the description clearly stating it's not included, so thanks CRC if it was a freebie etc. Top product, that is very well made and weatherproofed. A+ 11 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy to fit and bleed works well Worth watching the online videos if you've not fitted before....only gripe is the bar mounted lever will scratch etc when you flip the bike over so I fitted some rubber bands over it made from inner tubes. Nice little cover would have been nice. Also used some additional tubing over the hose where it goes round the bottom bracket to protect from rock strikes. Makes a big difference for enduro. 19 May 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Grrreat! Easy to install although the user's manual was not too clear (for me at least). I'm 5ft11 and I got the 385mm length with 125mm drop which is perfect for me. Once you have the Reverb on your bike, riding in constantly varying terrain becomes even more enjoyable! 02 April 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by this is everything i expected awesome bit of kit, couldn't of been happier with it. quality is outstanding really easy to install came with a bleed kit, buy one u wont regret it.. 29 March 2014

Answer:
Our stock of these posts are not supplied with the bleed kit. We are aware that some of the earlier sales did include the bleed kit, so some customers were lucky enough to receive one, but they are not included as standard so should not be expected.

Does the 31.6mm stealth seat post come in 380mm length?
I really want the stealth seat post as I have the cable routing for it, but 380mm doesn't appear to be an option? I'm sure 420mm is a bit excessive. Also is the length when the seat post is extended?

Answer:
My advice would be (if you have a seat post that suits your riding) to see what size your current post is and choose the closest. My stock post was 375mm so I chose the 380mm Reverb. I also measured where I would usually sit for maximum length and then chose maximum drop that would fit I chose the drop as 125mm. I'm 5ft11 and 380/125 is perfect.

which size for Whyte m109s

The Whyte seatpost is 30.9mm x 410mm, so I am thinking of reverb 30.9 x 420mm. But 125mm 0r 150mm?? I am 6ft, and it is a 109S medium frame. Also, thinking of right hand lever, but to sit under handlebart on the left. All new to me - so any ideas? thanks

Answer:
To work out what length will best suit you;
• set your standard seatpost at the highest point that you use it
• measure the exposed length of the seatpost and add 120mm
For example;
If the exposed part of your seatpost is 240mm + 120mm = 360mm

Running the lever on the reverse side, upside down is a common setup and for many riders has a better feel and is more low profile.

Answer:
The Main Difference would be that the 'Rock Shox Reverb Stealth Seatpost' would route the hose internally through the frame by featuring a hose exit point from the bottom of the post for Internal Hose Routing, while the older 2012 'Rock Shox Reverb Seatpost' would have it on the underside of the Seatpost. (see attached pictures)

Other difference would be that the Stealth Seatpost would have the capability of having a 150mm Drop and come with Spares, Bleed Kit and upgraded Seals as the Standard 2012 version would not and would just be the Seatpost and Lever.

If you found that your frame would be unable to accept the internal Cable Routing you could go for the 'Rock Shox Reverb Seatpost' version (linked below) as this should be supplied with the same Updated Seals as the Stealth but, the Spares and Bleed Kit would still need to be purchased separately.

Answer:
You need a 31.6mm seatpost for your frame.

To work out what length will best suit you;
• set your standard seatpost at the highest point that you use it
• measure the exposed length of the seatpost and add 120mm
For example;
If the exposed part of your seatpost is 240mm + 120mm = 360mm
You could use the 355mm length however, to ensure that there is enough seatpost in the frame, the 380mm length would be a better choice.
