Rock Shox Sektor RL Solo Air Forks

A REVELATION IN VALUE

The RockShox Sektor is a perfect example of trickle down technology. Take the great performance and the chassis of the Revelation and tag it with a price you won’t believe. And there is still Motion Control damping and the new Dual Position Coil in the Sektor to transform your downhill into smooth and your uphill into easy.

Solo Air

An extremely durable spring system. The positive and negative air spring chambers are simultaneously filled to equal air pressures through a single Schrader valve, simplifying suspension setup while retaining the light weight and plush ride quality of Dual Air.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lightweight and Superb Suspension I have found this fork much lighter with better shock absorbing and less rebound capabilities that greatly eliminates bike crash during casual jumps. There is big difference with my original fork by which the high rebound caused me to "dive really hard" in a bit stony inclined drop off trail but unfortunately "no water" because the fork rebounded and my front tire consequently slipped and of course, I had rashes and bruises to my left knee cap, legs and arms. My bike crash unfortunately happened when my ordered Rock Shox fork was under process. Now I have a lighter front wheel by which I immediately noticed during my uphill climb compared to previous one. Fortunately, my wounds healed a little bit and joined one of the race using this excellent suspension fork. My co-riders have seen it and was asking me where did I purchased. I immediately reply - "Chain Reaction Cycle, online" 05 November 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome fork for the price Having had a Marzocchi Bomber AM set of forks on my Rocky Mountain Slayer for the last 5 years - the Sektors were a sight for sore eyes (or arms). Considerably lighter and stiffer (especially when paired with a wheel with bolt through) - the travel is smooth and the ride precise direct from the box. Only had the new fork for a week or so but hoping to head out on some serious rides and give them a good test soon. 15 October 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by From postman to trail in 20 minutes It was really easy set up, had the bike ready to go when it arrived and was out on the trail giving my fork a test ride in 20 minutes from when they arrived. Adjustments are basic enough but are plenty good enough for 99% of riders out there. The fork handles small bumps well but ive only spent about 1 hour of riding yet so it will still take a bit more running in. 09 October 2013

Answer:
The caliper you have is the International Standard (IS) fitting while the forks is the Post mount standard. This can be made to work with a Hope adaptor we have in stock. You will need to use a 180mm rotor to make this combination of fork and brake work.

The adaoptor is shown below, all the newer forks are now post mount so you will need to use this method.

Answer:
These forks have 1 1/8" steerer which is compatible with the Meta 55 headtube, which houses a 1 1/8" integrated headset.

The axle on these forks is 15mm in diameter which requires a corresponding 15mm hub to be compatible.

Be aware that the Meta 55 (2009) came stock with 140mm of fork travel; pushing the travel to 150mm will slacken the head angle further which will increase control at high speed but will tighten the turning circle of the bike.
