Rated 4 out of 5 by DrZucchino These could have been an awesome pair of shorts...
I am 175cm & 75kg, roughly a 32 inch waist and I bought a pair of these shorts in large - but probably should have got medium. The range of adjustment on them is brilliant and the velcro tabs on the side can be brought right in so the large fit me, even though the medium would have probably been a more natural fit. The legs come down just past my knee. The crotch/waist is fairly high which I like as you don't get snagged on the seat. Material is very light/thin but tough, the stitching is good - though mine also had plastic bits stitched on like the other reviewers. The detachable inner shorts are ok but feel massive, even larger fit than the outer shorts, and the padding tends to slide around while riding. The material for the liner is a mesh fabric that breathes really well and is very stretchy. The liner attaches by two little loops to the outer short and secured by press studs. Good shorts but not quite awesome.

Had the same issue with the plastic as mentioned in other review. Not sure why they would leave it on there?
Very light compared to my TLD Ace shorts. Not sure if they're going to be as hard wearing though.
Great features and very comfy. So much so I've ordered another pair just for "casual" use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Amazing Shorts! and look Great!
Purchased a pair of these a few weeks ago, M's in Blue. Went for a 10h ride up a mountain and these performed flawlessly. The liner that is provided was worn over compression wear, so it got a little hot, but the padding was doing it's job and keeping my rear end comfortable. These shorts look amazing in blue. The zipper pockets on the thighs are great and very easy to access, even with gloves on. My waist is about 33inch, and the M size were spot on for me. The length is just below the knees when standing, and just above the knee when riding, so no interference. Not too baggy, but not tight, a great cut. If anything, the open pocket sleeves seem to come out if you take something out of them, and you just need to tuck them back in. Apart from that, flawless.
Only small issue I really had, was the rubber royal logo, and the hole for the audio interface were still covered in see-through plastic when they were delivered, so it took me a while to peel it off. Some of the plastic is still in the seams, but you can't see it.
