Royal Merino Crew Sock

Why Merino? It is just so comfortable and soft – with amazing performance characteristics.

Ever wondered why sheep in NZ look so happy? It’s because we’ve created a massive sponsorship programme for them to wear our Merino socks. Beware merino wool varies greatly in quality. Not all merino sheep produce wool suitable for clothing, and especially for clothing worn next to the skin. This depends on the particular strain of the breed. Ours is the real McCoy! If you find cheap Merino socks or clothing you’ll probably end up disappointed. We’re confident that these are the best Merino socks on the market.

Features:

  • Premium merino wool – natures finest.
  • Ribbed rise for extra support
  • Re-enforced heel for durability
  • Strategically placed cushioning on ankle bone
  • Incorporated ankle and arch stabilizers
  • Contoured ‘y’ heel for increased comfort
  • Cool mesh zone
  • Flat stitched seamless toe
  • Asymmetrical left foot/right foot padding
  • Flexible mesh foot break for comfort
  • Sharp Royal Crown Logos and font graphics

Rated 5 out of 5 by Make your feet smile Such a nice sock, very comfortable. They stay up and the large fits my eu45 foot well, the logos on the ankle look sweet with shoes, lasting well after 3 months. 10 September 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very warm and wick away well. 32% merino 32% Acrylic 7% Polyester 26% Nylon 3% Lycra Despite not being 100% merino they wick away the sweat very well. On a ride you would normally expect to get moist feet, they stay bone dry even inside a tight shoe. Not the best for summer riding but will be very good in winter.... 01 September 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfy These are comfy and warm. Maybe not the best in very how weather but ideal for most British temperatures. I wouldn't wear them in the wet however 23 August 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good bike sock Wanted a decent set of bike socks - did have a favourite set, but my dog decided to eat one and they weren't in stock anywhere, so had to seek out a new pair and opted for these. Thought I would try a merino pair (these aren't 100% merino, but not sure if many bike socks are) and the price for these wasn't too high. Fit is really well and they are comfortable to wear. As they have L on on and R printed on the other, I'd hazard a guess that they're designed to fit each foot better, but Royal might have just wanted to make sure I could tell my feet apart. On a long day long cycle in 20 degree heat, they did a good job at keeping my feet from feeling roastnig or uncomfortable, so overall a pretty good sock. 29 June 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not impressed. Shrunk dramatically after a few washes. To the point I could barely get them on anymore and they were also cutting off my circulation. 27 May 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 Great Socks! Great quality and super comfy with the right added protection and warmth for the winter months. Royal nailed it. 30 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very comfy and warm. Got these when I bought some new spd shoes ans they are so ver soft and comfy, they fit my feet really well providing support of some kind where wanted and breathability where needed. These are also by far the warmest pair of socks I own. A little on the pricy side but you get what you pay for. 16 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by brilliant! These socks are great, they are quite thick which make them comfortable but super soft as well. They seem to keep your feet dry by soaking up sweat and are able to stop any draft getting to the skin. In all these socks are perfect for winter. Ill be getting myself a second pair next time i place an order on crc thats for sure. Invaluable!! 08 November 2013

Answer:
Probably EU 36/37 - 40/41. The L/XL is quite snug and won't fit anyone much over size 44.

Answer:
I don't think there is an exact sizing with Royal socks. But due to the nature of the socks they will accommodate a lot of sizes. I'm a size 12 and the L/XL fit me. At a guess I'd say the S/M will fit someone up to about size 7
