Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by good pump but wrong instructions it seems like a good pump especially for the money but it took me ages to figure out how to change it to Presta valve since I'm a road bike newbie and the instructions were for some sort of air horn filler. 14 January 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by great pump for the price I was dubious at 1st but glad of the purchase its 2 yr old and im buying a new one for my other bag/bike. 13 January 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by No frills but does exactly what it claims. This pump was bought as a throw in my bag emergency pump for both my mountain and commuter bike. The claimed 100psi seemed too good to be true but it really does work. The build quality is better than the price suggests but obviously if you pay twice the price you will get a nicer finish ...however not necessarily better performance. 10 November 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wow 100psi Bought this as an emergency get me home pump after my last pump died (knackered seals) when it arrived i thought this is small n feeble looking it'll never reach its 100psi claimed pressure....i then deflated my race bike tyre and inflated it using the pump. 150 relatively easy strokes later i had a rock hard tyre took off the pump then attatched my track pump the gauge read 105psi...WOW i was impressed...the pump doesnt come with anything to attach to the bike so a couple of velcro strips would need to be applied or string or tape, alternatively the pump will easily fit into a jersey pocket or a camelbak, the head is interchangeable between car type and presta valve. The packaging is a bit strange,! think the pump was origonally intended to be used with a type of air horn according to the package and sticker on the pump but regardless of this the pump is an excellent compact quality piece of kit that actually does reach its claimed psi...and for £8 is a genuine bargain 16 February 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great! Great pump, bought as part of a bunch of new maintenance kit to go with new bike, and used it to fill new slime innertubes bought at same time. Does the job quickly and requires nowhere near as much effort as the big pumps I used to have! Easy fit and lock, and smooth pump action make it very easy to use. No frame mount included, but I prefer to carry mine in my hydration pack, one less thing to clean after a muddy ride! 03 May 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by This did really well on my MTB getting pressure up to around 40psi. Haven't tried it on my road bike yet but abover 40psi it was getting a bit too much like hard work for my liking. Still, based on what I have done with it I'm sure its adequate to get you home. 02 December 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Quality pump at a good price but lacks frame mount Seems a pretty solid pump. I've so far just tested it on a road bike tyre (as I didn't buy it for my MTBs) and I reckon I got about 75-80 PSI into it, judging by the reading on my track pump's gauge afterwards. I could probably have got another 5 PSI or so into it without too much extra effort. I would dispute the chances of getting 100 PSI but maybe more air than I thought escaped when connecting the track pump. Either way, it's more than enough to get you home after a puncture. The fit on a presta (non-car type) valve is positively tight, with no signs of air escaping. It's 23cm long and the main tube is approx 2.5cm in diameter. The only downside is the lack of a frame or bottle cage mount. I've solved this thanks to the Profile behind-the-saddle twin bottle cage mounted to my saddle. The pump fortunately fits nice and tight vertically between the two cages, with the chuck end facing upwards and resting in such a way that the pump won't slip down. To prevent the handle extending due to gravity (and to waterproof the pump) I have slipped a length of old MTB inner tube over it. NEVER THROW AN OLD TUBE AWAY! It has many uses including frame protection (such as under bottle bosses and any zip-tied accessories such as downtube mudguards). All in all, I think this will be a good pump. One star off for the lack of frame mount and not quite achieving as high a pressure as I'd like. But the price stops it losing a second star. Delivered next morning too! 17 October 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great pump The packet I received it in says it refills to 100psi, don't know why the CRC description says 80psi. It took somewhere between 150 and 200 pumps to get a 700x25c tyre/tube inflated to 95psi, noting that some air was released when I attached a pressure measurer after inflation, so I'm sure pressure reached 100psi before that. Pumping action was relatively easy, even at the highest psi, compared with other good/expensive mini pumps I have tried that claimed they could get to 100psi, where I'd get puffed out and dead arms by the end of it, only to find I was only at around 80psi. Also, I have found with other pumps that using the lever to detach the pump would cause alot of air to hiss out by the time you flip the lever and wiggle the pump head off, whereas with this pump there's usually no air loss at all on removal. Great size and price too. I'm confident this pump will get me through any road-side tube replacement without too much hassle. Tried it out on mtb shraeder valve and I wasn't as satisfied, but I really only wanted it for high pressure road tyres which is what it's meant for. 09 October 2009
