You've been looking for a simple, affordable way to get one bike from A to B.
That's why Saris created Solo.
Whether you need to safely transport your bike to and from your local bike shop or annual charity ride — all while keeping the inside of your car clean — Solo is a convenient solution. Just place it, tighten the straps, secure your bike, and go! Its compact uni–body frame fits a variety of vehicle makes and models, just like bigger bike racks do, minus the adjustments. It also fits neatly in a trunk or closet, making Solo as easy to store as it is to use.
Features:

• Bike weight limit: 35 pounds
• Uni–body frame requires no frame adjustment for fast, easy installation
• Ratcheting straps keep the bike stable and secure

Rated 3.2 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not stable , not trustworthy I Can not trust a carrier when it does not have a side streches . unfortunatly i was disapointed from the product . 17 February 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great, simple but effective solo carrier This is a simple product that is very good at doing what it is designed for. The bike is held very securely on the car. The reviews for this saying that it moves around on the car are easily sorted. I ran one ratchet strap around the centre of the carrier which holds it perfectly in place. Using the tails of the straps to hold the wheel straight. I then placed a foam pad between the bumper and front wheel and you are ready to go. The only downside is I have had to run strap around the side, it would be 5 stars if it had these equipped on the solo like the other models. Perfect carrier for what I needed (with strap added), to carry my MTB to the trails. 24 October 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great affordable bike rack It only takes a minute to fit onto a vw polo. You can use the toptube strap to tie up the crankarm too so you don't risk scratching the car. I would also recommend using one of the straps to tie the font wheel from moving around. Works prefectly, very secure. easy to remove (just loosen the bottom ones; saves you having to adjust the top ones for length next time.) 25 August 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by I fully agree with Dodi's comments. The instructions provided are very limited and make no mention of attaching the bike in such a way as to avoid damage to your car and/or bike. 09 December 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great lightweight carrier Astonishing to read the other reviews, I've had a Saris Solo for two years and it's fine. It's been on the back of a Mercedes E type estate, a Suzuki Grand Vitara, and currently, a Fiat Panda. It takes a full size road bike, or MTB. You will need a couple of bungees to stop the bike swinging into the car when you brake, as you will with any rack, and possibly another bungee to keep the cranks from turning if you leave the pedal on. The Saris Solo has done at least a couple of thousand miles on my car. The straps are long enough to get a couple of half hitches in when it's attached to the car. For the ultimate in protecting the car, put gaffer tape strips on the bumper top under the clips where they slide on. How hard is that? When it's off the car the Saris is small enough to keep in the boot of the Panda, unlike those ugly tube-steel racks, and of course, it's rust-proof. Add a pack of bungees, a roll of gaffer tape and if need be, turn the bars around, and either take a pedal off, or fit a folding one. How hard can this be, folks? Verdict: Works extremely well. 22 March 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Looks cool, but not safe! I have had this item for awhile and afraid to test it. I have a 04 Clio and getting my bike in and out of it was annoying me, I saw this and thought my problems where solved. I strapped the Saris up and put the bike on it, I was worried whilst it was stationary never mind moving! This absolutely dose not hold 35 pounds, my bike is about 28-30 pounds and it just didn't look safe at all, the top feet wasn't resting on the car all it's weight was on the bottom feet and I couldn't tighten the straps up anymore. I think this would be okay with the wheels off and the frame strapped to it, but this was the point of buying the Solo so I didn't have to keep disassemble and reassemble my bike. Am still afraid to actually test it as I don't want my back to fall off on the motorway. Another concern as started on other reviews is the peddles hitting the car and damaging it again you can fix it, but I feel something should of been included with the item to provent this from happening i.e. additional strap(s) I have rated it 1 star as it doesn't do the job for me it could be different on a different shaped car, but it stated on there site that is was suitable for my car and clearly it isn't :-( 28 February 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Lightweight bike carrier but not the full package Had this item for 1 month now and the problem seems to be that it's not sufficiently secure enough to hold any kind of bike with the wheels attached. At any speed over 40mph the feet start to lift as the bike wheels act like 26" sails lifting the bike away from the vehicle.Secondly the feet will damage your cars paintwork unless you place some thin, soft material between them and the bodywork.Thirdly make sure you place something over your pedal to stop it taking chunks out of your car.Saris should have provided information in the instructions describing these limitations because once the wheels are off, pedals are covered and one of the saris bike straps are secured around the frame and carrier to stop the frame swinging then it works as it should. It just requires some fine tuning and therefore is not really an effective complete package..... Oh yeh and you'll be needing a wheel bag to unless you wanna chuck your dirty wheels in the car. Now i have all these issues addressed it's great, shame Saris hadn't done their homework on this product before marketing. 29 January 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by excellent i think this is perfect for my giant anthem. fast set up. but you do have to secure the bike from swinging on the rack. i used the excesse staps to tie the frame to the bottom straps. not rocket science. all in all works well. 10 December 2011

This vehicle is not one that we are familiar with in the UK. You would need to contact the Saris importer for your country to find this information.
