Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Light and good control on dry and wet road. Generally a good value for money tyre. It is light and good control on dry and wet road. But too bad, it got punctured and damaged when i rode on a rough cemented pavement. Now getting an extra pair to replace. Unless i can find a better 451 tyre, Durano will still be my top choice. Cheers! 16 June 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 Very Good Tires I have used a variety of tires on my recumbent trike and so far, these are the best tires I have used. For me, I need speed and handling, since I commute every day. For a comparison, these tires are as fast as kojaks, and at least 30% faster than marathons. Granted, marathons are durable, not speed tires. Marathons also handle poorly around corners. In regards to durability, I have taken my trike off road onto mountain biking paths (with much struggle) and neither the rocks nor thorns could render these tires any worse for wear. Kojaks wouldnt stand this kind of wear, and marathons would do fine. However, these duranos in the 406 size are a great balance of speed, handling on even 20+ mph corners, and durability that marathons couldnt compete with. For reference, I average 1200 miles on kojaks, 3000 miles on marathons, and 5000+ miles on duranos. And for the price, this is the best deal ($30 kojaks, $40 marathons, $21.50 duranos). The other reviewers may have their reasons against the tires, but if you use common sense and stay away from tire slashing rocks, your tires will last a long time. Happy riding! 24 January 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cheap and fast tyres This is my 5th set of Durano wired. Using them on a recumbent trike, its lightweight, cheap and fast rolling. The durability is not as good as the folding version but price is much lower (almost half) 05 October 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Race tire. It's fast and surprisingly grippy even in wet conditions. However, there was a small tear in the sidewall ONLY AFTER ONE RIDE. For slightly rougher road conditions, this tire cannot be used. Perfect as a race tire though, very fast! 25 February 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Durano punctures! After three years and around 10,000 miles with NOT a single puncture on Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres on my recumbent I thought I might try the lighter and supposedly faster Duranos! Amazing weight saving at 500gm/tyre! Sadly in less than 200 miles I have had two punctures - the latest of which has effectively written off one tyre as a result of a cut which has penetrated through to the inner layer. All my riding has been on Herfordshire roads! It looks like back to the heavy but incredibly reliable Marathon Plus's unless I can find a compromise between the Durano and the Plus! 09 March 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not worthwhile Trying to find the best fast, sticky tyres in the wet for a 20 inch Dahon MU SL isn't easy. While these were much better (if heavier and slower) than the Stelvio and Kojak, after 6 months of occasional use, they became just as lethal and full of bits of glass and flint. Will try Contis GPs next - so far the best for my 700c bike. 07 November 2010
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not that high mileage... I'm seeing canvas after less than 1000 miles, not as high mileage as I was hoping. On the other hand they did handle well, and I have no other complaint at all - no p*nct*res (used as front wheels on a recumbent trike) 25 April 2010

What do you mean by tire width 1.8"?

Tire width shall be 1 1/8" instead of 1.8" and then tire size will be ETRTO 28-451.
Is this true?

Answer:
There is a minor error with the web coding you have found, the tyre is the 1.1/8th model with the ETRTO of 28-451.

Inner tube replacement ?

My existing set of stock tyres on my Dahon are 20 x 1.5. If I switch to the 20 x 1 1/8 Duranos, do I have to replace the inner tubes ? If the answer is yes, please enlighten me what tyre tube to change to. Thanks.

Answer:
The 20 x 1 1/8" tyre has a different ETRTO of 28-451 and will not be a suitable replacement for your 20 x 1.5" tyre which will be 40-406. You could use the 20 x 1.1 tyre although this will be narrower than your current tyre. If you use the 1.1 tyre, you can still use your current inner tube.
