Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great tyres for year round use These tyres are long lasting and keep going in spite of deep cuts and flint attack. Reasonably priced and easy to fit so really good value for money. another plus is no noticeable weight penalty. 15 February 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 Seeking grippy durable winter tyres First time ever using schwalbe tyres and so far all is positive, a very solid feeling tyre with very good grip so far, will await to see how they do for durability. Good price too 31 December 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good compromise of durability and ride Until recently I've defaulted to Continental for road tyres but after trying to fit some GPs onto my new DT Swiss rims and failing I was advised to try the Durano. What a difference - whereas the contis would not go on with levers I could pop the durano on easily with my thumbs. Once the road they've proved to be a nice ride, durable not as spike proof as the Gatorskin but still acceptable. Currently using the 25 on my road bike would consider a pair fo 28s for the commuter once the current set wear out. 04 December 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by 7,000km without problems! Using this tyre for my front wheel on my Hybrid daily commute. Total of about 7,000km and it's now truly worn down. No problem at all at 100 PSI for 7 months of daily commute and recreational rides. Guess what I replaced the worn tyre with? Yup, another Durano 700-28C. 08 November 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by caro, mas um excelente pneu. leve (folding tyre 28C), rápido e com muita resistência contra furos, excelente. 17 September 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Road Tire on my CX Bike I've been running Schwalbe Marathon Racers (700x35C) on my Cyclocross Bike for training and road use and have been very happy with them, 2500 km and virtually no sign of wear and no punctures. I just switched over to the Durano 700x28C because I wanted something a little faster on the road. The Marathon Racers have been excellent but the Durano is 2-3 km/h faster on average, the pair is 170g lighter, handling is improved and I can't discern much difference in ride quality. The Durano has the constant radius profile of a racing tire with much quicker "turn in" and handling compared to the Marathon Racer, will hold a much tighter line, and has better road feel. The Marathon Racers were very good but when pushing hard on high speed descents the Durano does a better job of letting you know what the front end is doing without being twitchy. For climbing the lower weight is noticeable and they spin up faster than the Marathon Racers. I ride on a fair amount of chip sealed roads and the Marathon Racer was very good at sucking up the vibration from that rough surface. The Durano is not quite as good but I don't feel a big comfort penalty and can run them at the lower end of the pressure range if need be without giving anything measurable away in speed. These are supposed to be a very durable tire, we'll see how that goes, but at the moment I'm very pleased at seeming to have found a high performance, high mileage, training tire that is still comfortable for long hours in the saddle over rough roads compared to my race bike. 06 January 2013
