The most successful competition tire. We made it even more
merciless – lower weight, lower rolling resistance, better grip. It
slices through terrain with its ‘sharks-tooth’ U-Blocks that make
it grip much more aggressively, particularly in curves.
High Density – High Density guard is a unique puncture protection technology only available from Schwalbe. It has been jointly developed in co-operation with American firm Warwick Mills. Warwick is a specialised maker of high density fabrics and holds 14 internal patents for its weaving technology. No other bicycle tire protection belt is a density woven and this technology makes it possible to make a tyre that is both light in weight and with an extraordinary high level of puncture resistance.
Puncture protection; Standard tires have an effective puncture protection belt made of natural rubber. The new, doubled and dense 50 EPI carcass has improved puncture protection.
Additional with SnakeSkin sidewall: The “SnakeSkin” protects tire shoulders and side walls against sharp rocks and glass. It is far lighter than a full rubber side wall, but nevertheless just as sturdy.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous Dry-weather tyre
This is a fast tyre on rock and hardpack but gave very poor traction on clay-mud. I think this tyre would make a good dry weather choice but it's not great for the British winter.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous I really (really!) like this tyre, but the model CRC is shipping is the older version from 2011 (tread HS 391). The older tyre has less transition knobs and is a lower EPI then the current tyre (tread HS 425), and schwalbe quote the new version as having "30 grams lighter, 20 percent less rolling resistance"
The old model CRC are shipping is still good, but I expect to be getting the current version unless the item listing says otherwise (clearance etc).
I am emailing support, and they say all their stock is the older model. Although in November last year, I received the new model from them!
