The most successful competition tyre. Schwalbe made it even more merciless - lower weight, lower rolling resistance, better grip. It slices through terrain with its shark-tooth U-blocks that make it grip much more aggressively, particularly in curves.

Fantastic light weight summer tyre. However if running it tubless run your tyre pressures higher or switch to the snakeskin version. Its fast rolling and progressive when losing grip, very controllable.

The only tyre I want on my bikes. Love them

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous I got these stock standard on bike bought recently, i liked at first as they performed well in the dry WA conditions, pea gravel etc, my problem is though how quick they have worn down, after using off & on road for my commute & w/e rides. They've lasted about 3 months, & now I'm getting puncture galore, 2 last week & 4 this week... time for a change me thinks!

These tyres might be OK but i would strongly suggest not ruining them tubeless .
They are really tricky to get to seal but once they seal they are painful to keep air tight .After taking them for there first test ride of road in fairly easy going terrain the side wall blew out .

I'm running some 2.4s front and back on a rigid 29er. The volume does make for a plush ride, whilst still fast and they're pretty good over most bumps.
They do slide about or spin when its damp or rocky (esp both...) a friend following me with some nobby nicks didn't slide at all on the same route. So expect them to be a bit lively in the damp, they do tend to regrip after a small slide though, fun rather than dangerous.
Being soft, light and large they are thorn magnets; so if the farmer has been cutting hedges beware (4 punctures in 100yds...)
On the on-one inbred 29er there's just about enough clearance at the back so long as the axle is lined up in the back of the dropouts.

I've been using a 2.25 on the front of my hardtail 29er for a few weeks. Whilst it's undoubtedly a light & quick tyre, grip is not great in anything other than dry conditions. The main problem I have though is with the number of times the casing is getting sliced beyond the ability for the Stans fluid to repair. They're obviously built down to a weight, which is probably fine if your trails are smooth, but for riding anywhere flinty I'd avoid these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Best 29er tyre so far
Big volume (review for the 2.4) makes for a smooooth ride at around 25 - 28 psi, yet light & fast rolling for its size. Corner grip seems excellent in the dry. Mounts & holds air well run tubeless with some Stans. I use these on a steel hardtail 29er thru flat bumpy singletrack trails with mostly dry & hard or loose over hard surface. Heavy slow tyres are the enemy of 29ers but so many light fast tyres are too narrow to grip well or soften the hardtail ride. These are so good I'm going to try them for wetter & more technical trail riding. Considering what you can pay for Schwalbe tyres they are another bargain at CRC.
