Rated 4 out of 5 by Use them for what they are designed for These are great. They are not training tyres or meant for anything other than racing so don't expect them to ride through glass like a Maxis Refuse. Very light with little rolling resistance and give you heaps of confidence into corners. I used these on a long charity ride and the downhill section was fantastic due to these tyres. I'd say the ZX's are a better but these are cheap and worth a try. Use the DD's if you want more puncture resistance 06 February 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Pretty good I had the 2010 version of this tire on a bike from new, and found them to be amazing. In over 4,000 miles I had only a couple of punctures. However I've recently replaced them with the 2011 model, and not been so impressed. I'm not sure what they've done differently, but after only a couple of months both the front and rear have freighed, and there is now a gaping trench all the way round both sides of both tires. I won't be using these again for fear of a blow out. This may be a one off, and is my experience with them only. Otherwise, it's a great tire with surprising grip and acceleration, very light, and look great! 29 August 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Fast and supple tyres but they just have zero resistance to anything sharp. No way would I risk racing on these balloons, and since that is there intended purpose, they are useless! 03 August 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best clincher tyres ive ever used. Durability isnt great but great grip and have yet to get a puncture after 3000miles of use. Great racing tyre aswell 12 April 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by very good tyre for your tt bike.not suitable for your racing bike as they will only last a few months.over all not a good tyre 19 March 2011
12 February 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great tyre for racing only! This really is a superb tyre for racing. Super grip and very fast. However, these tyres are not recommended for British roads or sportive riders... you will get a puncture!!! 17 January 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best tire yet I saw these tyres in a magazine and decided to purchase them mainly due to their lightweight in early 2010. After riding them you can actually feel a difference in the weight compared to slightly heavier tires like the GP4000's (no offence!). I used them for 1500km, 4 criterium races, 5 road races and the Marmotte sportive!!! I only got one puncture in total on my rear wheel and it was worn out. I replaced it with another Ultremo R.1 and used it for about 1000km, then my front tyre was worn out but no punctures. All in all...an amazing lightweight yet grippy tyre. The best I have ever had so far....now to try their tubular versions! :) 05 January 2011
