Perfect winter tire. The spikes are not on the tread center, but arranged on the sides in the area of greatest contact pressure. When properly inflated the tire can also be used under normal, ice and snow-free, road conditions. By lowering the air pressure the tire gains optimum grip on icy roads.

Rated 4 out of 5 by 09 November 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by
Rated 5 out of 5 by 27 January 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Tyre Bore (that good) These were brilliant.I put them on just before the pre Christmas freeze and I stayed upright for the six weeks of ice and snow. These really grip on sheet ice. The only problem was that I became a tyre(some) bore, telling everyone about how great they were. Buy them while they are in stock. 30 May 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Esssential I cycle 10 miles to work. Taking the bus is not an option and I can't afford a car for the daily commute. At the same time it's not safe to cycle when the roads are covered in ice – a serious problem in the UK this winter. This tyre is amazing. Excellent grip on ice and compact snow. I had a few problem to put the tyres on (Ridley Crossbow). The diameter of the tyres seems to be slightly larger than normal for a 28" wheel. I guess the rubber mix is quite soft and expands at room temperature. I put them outside for 2h at -10C. Once they were cold enough they fit perfectly. Exceeds all my expectations and makes my commute safer (the reflective coating is a nice extra). 23 December 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Brilliant Bought these a while back in anticipation of the January freeze but using them earlier than anticipated on my commuter. Brilliant grip on ice and hard packed snow but be careful of central and roadside ridges of snow; these are good but they are not magic. You will get odd looks from motorists and cyclists as you pump away from the lights... 29 November 2010

Answer:
This is the narrowest spiked tyre we have in stock at present. You will need to check your bike if it can take a tyre at 38mm wide. The bicycle manufacturer will be able to help you with this. If the tyre does fit your bike it will certainly allow you to keep riding in the worst of winter conditions.
