Rated 4 out of 5 by Good lite weight XC saddle This style seat is a winner and I have found it comfortable. I broke mine by taking a half meter drop and having my foot slip off the pedal and slamming my groin onto the back of the seat. The saddle ripped out of the I-beam clasp and hit me in the face. I reattached it on a different setting away from the damage and no problems back to normal. Broke it again at Hafjell on a small jump with the foot slip problem again so I have gone back to rails. :) Great for cross country!! Not good for All Mountain, freeride or DH. 09 July 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by so light, but strong, but light ..... I bought one of these abut 6 months ago and it was cool, strong, comfortable and exquisitely light, perfect then for my dh hardtail, which it was for a while untill that is i was showing my mates how strong it was by bouncing on it. it broke... serves you right i hear you cry and to be honest i agree, the only problem with the i beam system is that it works more by clamping the inside of the I rather than using the beam for strength.. which means TIGHTEN UP THE CLAMPS they work on friction alone and provided they are tight these saddles really are (almost) indistructible. belive me i've tried... 23 April 2009
Rated 3 out of 5 by compfy but cracked this saddle lasted nicely for about 2 years, however, the plastic support rib cracked in a crash under my weight, i'm only light. it now sags under my right a**e cheek. But I may buy a new one, to save changing the seat post. 30 March 2009
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not as advertised The saddle did not come with the carbon finish base and is 27% heavier than advertised (235g). While 27% is a large margin of error, 235g for a saddle is still on the v.light side of things. Factor in that CR are currently throwing in a free seatpost that is also quite light and you can't complain too much. Time will see whether or not the IBeam system is as robust as SDG would imply. 29 January 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by super light xc seat lost 230g just by fitting one of these puppies with the new I BEAM micro post - replaced an RMB post and WTB seat - as well as losing nearly half a pound - I have been impressed with the shape and the little bit of flex in the design. Well worth a go - I was pretty sceptical but am now a convert 13 June 2008
Rated 3 out of 5 by i got this saddle just under a year ago, i use it for dh and fr and i havent had one problem with it, i just grouped it with the i beam seatpost which made a very light combo, undid the bolt for the clamp on the seat post, tightened it, job done havent had to do anything since. i have occasionally mislanded jumping and landed on my a**e on the saddle but still i havent broken it, and it is pretty comfortable, overall amazing product buy buy buy 07 April 2008
Rated 5 out of 5 by this is an XC seat. for the stronger (and heavier) DH version use the Bel Air ST. For AM duties this seat is bang on - had mine now for 18 months and still going strong - and it's still 140g lighter than my previous post/seat combi 18 February 2008
