This purchase was a waste of money, product looks cheap and nasty, this is about the same weight as WTB Silverado, which is much better quality. There is no side protection on the sides at the back of saddle so expect saddle to gets scuffed really quickly and I expect that I will have to replace it in a couple of months.

As a heavy rider (18 stone) I was a little unsure if this saddle would hold my hefty frame while downhill riding and I was not only surprised I was amazed.
Not only is it built like a tank it is also very soft.
Without a doubt the most comfortable saddle I have yet to use.

Having used this for a couple of months now, I'm changing my rating to 4 stars due to the saddle covering. Although it looks nice, it's actually a cheapish plasticy covering which sticks to your shorts once you're warmed up a bit and squeaks when you try to shift yourself around on the saddle. I never have this problem with other expensive saddles that use real leather or micro-fibre - possibly because they're slightly breathable but also because their coverings are smoother and less 'tacky'.
Real shame this - if SDG actually used a real leather covering, I'd pay anything for this, as it's truly a great shape with superb padding.

I think I've finally found the ultimate MTB saddle. Supremely comfortable as it supports you well, has a rigid shell and rails, yet loads of padding. And the padding is really all round the upper and edges. Some saddles have a hard edge at the back, but not this, it's still really comfy even when you slide yourself off the back on descents. There's a slight ergonomic channel running down the middle that's just about right (sometimes they're too much for MTB riding). Very well made too. Not sure why the rails are solid Ti and not tubular, there's no explanation of this on the packaging. I guess they make it much stronger. I'd have liked to see some side protection patches though. I hope it doesn't get too scuffed.

Well I've just replaced my Boardman saddle ( more like a brick) with this seat and my first impressions are that this is a great. I've done my usual ride without any discomfort at all and it certainly made for a pleasant change rather than having to keep sanding up to give my a**e cheeks a rest! 18 miles completed in comfort.
All in all a really good price for what I believe is a really good product.
