Pressure point padding provides comfort.
Silicone contact point mapping increases grip.

Thermal Rating Explained:
We design and engineer the entire range of products so there is something suitable for all weather conditions. Naturally, how cold or hot someone feels is relative to the individual. We have developed a thermal rating system, graded from ONE to FIVE to indicate the relative warmth of our products.
Products with a thermal rating of ONE are lighter weight and/or thinner and suited to warmer conditions or more energetic activities, such as running. Products with a thermal rating of FIVE are heavier weight and/or thicker, these are great for cold, extreme conditions and are suited to less-energetic, static activities, such as fishing and shooting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by laguillotine I will be buying some more
I have had these gloves for approx 3yrs, were as most of my gloves last one year.
I liked them so much I used them for walking in winter.
Mine have always been waterproof, and have kept my usually cold hands warm to about 0deg on the bike, but even colder when walking.
Only critism is they are not very dextrose, but I suspect other winter gloves are not either.
And the liner sometimes turns inside out, you need to pinch the finger tips when you take them off!

Rated 1 out of 5 by jo2345 Definitely NOT waterproof ; very cold when damp
Do not believe the blurb telling you that Seal Skinz are waterproof. These gloves get damp then wet and very cold. They might look good at first but that is where the good points end.
We tested these out in Scotland and in several days of rain. Not only did the gloves get soaked through, but they were very cold when wet. We had to ring the gloves out on several occasions ; they became more useless and difficult to control the bike in as they became heavily soaked in rain water.
In the end we gave up on the Seal skin gloves and put on fingerless gloves instead (at least you could use your fingers in them)
Very very disappointing purchase and a total waste of money

I have worn these gloves for the second time and I can not understand why some reviewers are saying they kept their hands warm. It was 8 deg this morning and my hands were frezzing wearing these.
They may well be windproof and waterproof cant confirm this but they do not keep keep your hands warm.

First of all, I would like to state, that I am yet to find a good pair of waterproof gloves, so perhaps the problem is bigger than just this brand of gloves...
This summer I cycled through the Himalayas on a one month long journey with elevations reaching well over 5km, so a good and really waterproof pair of gloves were esential. I bought this pair, because I have used SealSkinz waterproof socks with great success previously - they held pretty well on cold river crossings in Iceland. However, I couldn't say the same thing about this pair of gloves. One day, after reaching the top of the highest climb of the trip, we found ourselves in the middle of a hail storm which quickly turned in to a huge shower.
The gloves didn't hold water for 5 minutes. I wouldn't even call them water resistent, let alone waterproof... Which kinda turned out to be a huge problem 5km above the sea level, with temperatures around 8 degrees and high winds. We descended for about an hour and I had to constantly flex my fingers to keep the temperature up. After the hour we had to stop, because I had lost feeling in my fingers and was begining to get more and more concerned.
After using hand warmers, a couple of hot teas and staying in my warm sleeping bag, everything came back to normal, but I hate to think what would have happened if we had to continue to cycle...
To summarize, I would love for companies to stop with the false claims of waterproofness in their gloves, coz' by trusting them and paying them our money, we are putting our health in danger...
P.s. the sizing of the gloves is aweful. I bought the usual size and while the fit was snug, the fingers were way too long..

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Excellent !
These are a good compromise between too padded & restrictive for cycling or too thin.
They are in the middle of SealSkinz thermal rated gloves.
Size L are good for average size hands, if you have long fingers &/or large hands -then XL size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous nice glove
completely waterproof (try filling it with water) but still breathable and lightweight. I've used it only once, it seems sturdy even for mtb. a good winter glove.
