Wear then winter and summer as they wick so well. Bought FiveTens half size up to compensate. Keep your feet dry and warm. Just wish they still did the shorter length version of this sock in Thick.

I did an involuntary test of these socks when I found my self on a stretch of flooded road at Westhumble in Surrey, and I am please to report that despite completely soaked shoes and socks my feet remained dry and warm for the whole morning.

Rated 4 out of 5 by longcanadianwinter Were my expectations too high?
I bought these for winter cycling in Calgary, Alberta - temperatures down to and below -20C. Coupled with an arctic winter cycling shoe I was confident that I would have a great setup for even the coldest temperatures. There is no question that these socks are well constructed and warm but below -10C and even with the winter shoes I have to add a second sock underneath. Now fortunately these are designed such that they accomodate a second sock rather well and so this setup still works for me ... but having tested in extreme temperatures don't expect them to be a silver bullet. I would still recommend as a high performing sock that forms an important part of the overall setup - but it's a part of the solution not the whole package.

first ride I wore these was cadair idris. feet were soaked at the end of the day and the socks had let a fair bit through to the skin. when its dry I have cheap thermal socks that keep my feet warmer than these. all in all there not bad but not worth 30 quid!

Put these on and I'm disappointed with how they fit, for a £30 pair of socks I was expecting something a lot better. I just hope they are as warm and dry as everyone says they are.
