SealSkinz Thin Ankle Length Socks

Thin, lightweight, totally waterproof socks offering protection up to the ankle. Ideal for use with lightweight boots in spring and autumn conditions. They’re guaranteed 100% waterproof, keeping feet warm and dry.

  • Thermal Rating: 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5
  • Anatomically designed ankle length fit.
  • Close fitting knitted construction.
  • Fine Merino wool lining for warmth and moisture control.
  • Elasticated instep and Achilles ankle panel provide support and a comfortable fit.

We design and engineer the entire range of products so there is something suitable for all weather conditions. Naturally, how cold or hot someone feels is relative to the individual. We have developed a thermal rating system, graded from ONE to FIVE to indicate the relative warmth of our products.

Products with a thermal rating of ONE are lighter weight and/or thinner and suited to warmer conditions or more energetic activities, such as running. Products with a thermal rating of FIVE are heavier weight and/or thicker, these are great for cold, extreme conditions and are suited to less-energetic, static activities, such as fishing and shooting.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Do what they say but a bit short Decent enough, work okay and keep the worst of the wet out when used for mountain biking. Have a longer pair which work better and best used with tights over the top in the winter to stop the water running down your legs and into the top of the sock. 29 July 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Sceptical at first, but a convert I was a little sceptical about the effectiveness of these socks but I'd have to say I'm a convert. After a few hours in the saddle after some decent rains, I was soaked from my head to about the ankle! My foot was still warm and relatively dry. Very impressed and comfy too. 02 July 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not waterproof I ordered these for a wet Fred Whitton this year. Over half way around I felt my feet were bathed in water and when I took them off there was practically a puddle. Water not only got through the 'waterproof' membrane, but stayed trapped inside. Very disappointed considering the price! 16 May 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by 3rd pair, good but don't expect dry feet Very comfy, your feet will get wet if continually saturated but feet don't get cold. Wear them if your boots are soaked from previous ride or through the odd water splash and your feet will stay dry. Very breathable, no sweaty feet even in our summers. 15 May 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Expensive but work I suppose because they work well they are worth it. Just feel it's expensive for socks 11 February 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Fab socks Great socks, keep my feet dry, only bad thing is that I have to keep pulling them up. 18 January 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by quickly leaked Bought socks for autumn 2012, to be ridden work - home. if a long ride in the rain or puddles, the water gradually penetrates into the tissue on the outer, a month later began to leak, probably from the formation of cracks in the inner layer. If you buy a waterproof, only long socks and half a size or a size bigger - that would be the inner layer of felt less stress. 19 September 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Does the job marvelously I figured I'd try these for a 10 day tour of Germany and use them with my Shimano sandals in case of rain. Save me the bother of bringing another pair of shoes and a bit easier to put on than a shoe cover. Worked very well in the one rainy and cold day, we had. The socks kept my feet comfortably warm and dry. In fact I hardly noticed I was wearing them. Only minor niggle would be their sizing. Large is supposed to be a size 43-46. I use a size 43 and they felt a bit on the small size. Since the material is not stretchy that might be a thing to consider. I think I'll try the XL when I buy some long ones for winter use. 13 June 2013
