After the enthusiastic testimony of the cyclists that are using it, after having been the object of an important medical and scientific research, SMP multiplies the range to give each cyclist the model most suitable to his physical structure and to the type of use.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous Nice.. But Not AS nice as Avant
I initially bought the Avant for my MTB due to Numbness. It was a Nice saddle, but I needed another one fr the Road. I thought to purchase the Pro due to the slight narrower dimensions.. Its slightly narrower, BUT, the profile is more curved from rail to rail. This has caused serious chaffing due to the pressure being experienced on the inside of the sit-bones.. It has caused some serious discomfort, but should (I am hoping and praying) wear in in a short while.. Nice saddle, but probably should have stuck to what worked initially. No Numbness on either saddle tho.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous The best saddle........period
I bought this saddle to replace the San Marco Ponza that came on my new Bianchi Sempre. The saddle was expensive, but well with the price. The difference in overall comfort, and lack of any compression or numbness is remarkable. I am a medic, and was all too aware of the anatomical consequences of cycling, but this saddle is brilliantly designed and transforms the riding experience. I just bought one for my son too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous SMPs on all our bikes
My whole family rides distances up to centuries. For years we labored going back and forth with different saddles looking for something that worked. Since these are so different and expensive we started out with the TRK series and what a relief that was. Because the relief and comfort was so complete for all of us, as the TRKs got worn out (they are not to tough) we have been upgrading to various models in the SMP standard line. My son who is a Cat2 racer uses the SMP carbon and the glider on various bikes. I should point out though that the SMPs did not work for him on his serious TT bike. For that extreme position he is using a split nose design saddle. My wife and I being older and NOT racers are using the Pro here on all of our bikes. All in all our family owns and rides 8 SMP saddles and I don't see us going for anything else in the near future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Selle SMP Pro does the job :)
I purchased a Tacx trainer in April and had been stepping up the riding. The old seat I had used to cause crotch soreness and the dreaded numbness in the genital area. I couldn't ride for more than an hour or so before I would have to stop. After much research I decided to give the Selle SMP Pro a try. Had 3 rides with it so far, 40km time trial and a couple of stages of the Tacx Tour of Flanders (2 hours and 2 hours 15) and there has been NO numbess or soreness at all :) The seat is meant to be cushioned but you wont know it to start off with. It was hard on the ischial tuberosities (the bits of your pelvis you sit on) but you do get used to it. Overall I would highly recommend this seat especially to any blokes that have the numbness issues.

Best saddle I have ever used.for road ridding.
They are made in lots of different widths from 130mm to 158mm, I tried 2 narrower models before the pro, this holds my sit bones the best.
I like to sit in one position on the road, I am not a rider who slides back and forward and don't think this saddle would suit, that type of rider.
For the above reason I didn't find this saddle suitable for off road where you need to slid around to enable rear tyre grip.
Cycling nirvana on road.
At a price £160 is a lot for a saddle
Off road the search continues.
