Rated 5 out of 5 by Cheap alternative to a single ring I wanted a single ring setup on my road bike but didn't want to pay the hefty price associated with a trendy track chainring. As this is a double ring not a triple it is a fairly large size without having all the ramps and pins on the inside that you get on a triple middle ring, so it's pretty much indistinguishable from a track chainring. I'm sure it works just as well in it's intended purpose as a inner ring on a double setup. 09 October 2008

Is this suitable with Tiagra 9speed?

Is this chainring (Shimano 105 FC5502 Double Chainring) suitable for Tiagra double 9 speed? I have 53 teeth chainring now and want to replace it with 50 teeth. It's hard to find 9 speed rings.

Answer:
Yes this chainring is 9-speed compatible.

Be sure to check that your crankset requires a 130mm Bolt Circle Diameter (B.C.D.) chainring before purchase; likely it will.

Scelta type a o type b
